Good morning Cheryl and Friends! Yes, very sad news about Russert.  Sad news about all the flooding and tornados and...  Gee something good has to happen soon. Woke at 6:15 after an entire night in the recliner.  Managed to get one load of laundry done, shower, down a protein shake, and that's it.  This old butt is dragging.  George is working until at least 2 (I hate it, I hate it!)  Plans to see a movie ditch - nothing good playing 'cept What Happens in Vegas and that's at 8 tonight.  I need to pick up my new glasses, go to the Altell store, wanted to get back to the farmer's market, need groceries...  At some point I will get around to cooking what I took out of the freezer this morning (when it thaws) - sirloin steak, chicken breasts, and fish.  I cook for several days at a time, it's so much easier than coming home from work and having to cook every day.  Well dear friends, I really need to get my butt in gear and head out - might just treat myself to lunch! Have a great weekend!  Debbie

Aloha cutie pie Cheryl and all my OFF sisters and brothers!

Well, it's 5:00 a.m. and I'm showered, shaved and powdered...ready to go to the hospital and test my babies. I wonder how many were born over night. That's always the mystery as I drive to the hospital in the dark. Last Sat. I had 13!! Maybe this morning there will only be two.....ha, fat chance!!

I loved hearing about the "space between the thighs!" I, too, can now see the light between the formerly thunder thighs!! In fact, this morning I have on some calf length blank tight pants and a short, short lime green top. I NEVER would have worn something like that just a few months ago......my buh-tocks needed to be covered. But.....miracle of miracles......I am no longer ashamed of my posterior parts! I guess that would be considered a WOW moment eh? Oh, yes, another WOW that happened this morning that has been happening for awhile, but I didn't register it on the Wow meter was being able to step into panties and pants without hanging onto something! Yee Haw!! (I wonder how you say Yee Haw in Hawaiian...Hummmmmm!)

Hearing Karen C talk about her grandbabies makes me feel sad that I'm not getting to snug with my new little Zane...who is now one month old! My son says he's a little jewel and is already letting them sleep through the night. It's nice knowing he has two big brothers who will watch out for him through his life.

Well, my sisters and brothers....it's time to go out into the warm, humid darkness and be on my way to babyland. I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday, and that you come in tomorrow with great news to share.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Happy Saturday Cheryl and Everyone! It's truly tragic about Tim Russert...  much too young.  He will be missed. Same ol' same ol' for us today.  I'm still restricted from driving so we are staying home!  LOL  I plan to get some walking in today.  I might even walk to the nail shop and treat myself to a pedicure.  I don't think it's too far to walk so we'll see what the day brings.  I'm feeling really good and have no pain.  Just waiting for the incisions to completely heal and get the surgical glue that's on them to fall off.  No itching yet so that's a good thing.  Put a bra on for the first time yesterday so I'm sure others were pleased. Back to sipping protein for me this morning.  My only complaint - and it's huge - is the crushed pills.  That leaves me nautious and sickly feeling for a couple of hours twice a day.  YUK!  But it's all good! Welcome to some people I don't think I've welcomed before.  Welcome home Laureen!  Good to have you back again.  Prayers for those who need it - especially in the flooding areas. Hugs, Kathi

Kathi "Put a bra on for the first time yesterday so I'm sure others were pleased". For some reason that caught me off guard...Laughed right out loud.     No matter.  The cats think I'm crazy, anyhow. I'm so glad you're doing well.  Soon you'll be a shadow of your former self. Candy

Kathi, I hear  you on those crushed pills. I think after about two weeks I started splitting the ones I could. I was afraid the first time, but I was able to swallow with a sip of water and all was fine. Much better that way. I have finally gotten over my "horse pill" fear too. I now can swallow a pretty good sized vitamin pill. I use the Bariatrics Advantage that is supposed to dissolve quickly. So far labs have been good. I am so happy that you are doing to well this early out! Can't wait to start hearing your wows!

Hi Cheryl and everyone: Not much going on here. Slept late; had breakfast, went to the stores to pick up a few things and a prescription that was free and then came home. Still have not much money for gas. I think I might have $14 left; I'm going to hold out until Tuesday to put something in the tank. I won't have much next week either. I have to get my Celebrex prescription but that's going to cost me almost $27 and I don't have it this week; I really don't have much next week either but I'll have to try to buy it. My bariatric surgeon says I can take it as long as I take my Nexium (which I do anyway). Even so, I have to be wary of ulcers. But at this point, I'd chew nails to make my knee feel better. Yes, it's so sad about Tim Russert; I never watched "Meet the Press" but I did see him on other programs and he was a very good journalist.  He was a credit to my profession. Not doing a whole lot this weekend; it's a pleasant day, so I opened the windows to let in the air. I'm going to watch baseball, read, wash the blankets, clean the litter boxes, etc.  Have a good weekend.
