Wish me luck!!

..in the morning I am headed for Wisconsin Dells...where all the flooding, mud slides and lakes that have drained are...My company is doing a "Clean the Lake" Day"...there are all kinds of debris in the lake  and trying to help the citizens of Wisconsin Dells clean....they are hurting up there. It is about normally an hour away, but a friend that went up there today to help organize it, said it took her 3 hours. Sooo, my girlfriend and I are leaving at 6:00 am to get htere my 8 AM...hopefully the traffic and trees in the roads from the bluffs and whatever are going to be less in the morning. They have closed the Interstate because of flooding, so I will be taking back roads. So say some prayers that my "road trippin"" is successful tomorrow.I am gonig to bed now as I must get up at "O dark thirty" otherwise know as 5:30 am. Love, Marti

Hi Marti, Had supervisor at work yesterday that was headed back to Madison and had to do an exhaustive online search for roads that were open to get there. From LaCrosse, only the river road, hwy 35, was open to Prairie du Chien then across to Madison. The interstate and many smaller roads were all closed due to flooding. You have your hands full today in the Dells. On the news, they said it would take a year to ge****er back into Lake Delton. They showed ducks walking in the mud that once was a lake. Bless you for your time and effort in this horrible time for those in that area. Alice

Aloha darlin Marti......Oh, you are a brave pioneer woman!! Seeing the damage in Wisconsin really brought back my days of living in Madison and the great times we had there. I can't even imagine what has happened at Wisconsin Dells!! What IS Mother Nature up to these days??? Is she giving us a message? You think?

Please be very careful and come home safely. You have lots of sisters here holding you close in their hearts and wishing you safety.
