TGIF what's new?????

T.G.I.F. Margo and Everyone, Glad to see the end of the week for some reason.  Don't know why as being home from work makes everyday the same...  very weird feeling! Went to see the vampire first thing this morning for fasting labs required by the surgeon.  My wonderful son and little grandson got out of their snuggly warm beds to take me since I'm not yet allowed to drive.  Nothing better than getting into the car to a "Morning Gramma" from a 2-year old.  Made my day! Going to get out and walk today.  See if I can build up some stamina.  It was very tiring just to go out to the lab, wait in line for it to open, get blood drawn and ride home.  Yikes.... I FINALLY lost 50 lbs!!!! (well 51, but whose counting)  Yaaaayyyyy!!!!      Can you tell that I'm happy? Well, I am.

Fantastic Reggie!!! I certainly would count that extra pound and be so proud of it! I was happy with 8# loss for me, I can't imagine how I'll feel when I can say 51#!!!! Your cheeks must be getting sore from all your smiling today...keep it up, you have a beautiful smile! Alice

i am having a sucky day *my g'ma had a stroke today-dunno how she is * i transferred money from one checking to another to have gas money in case of funeral but that will probly overdraft me again--(i'll put it back if i don't need it for funeral soon) *my hubby made 650 too much in last 3 mos to get a one month electric bill paid by the county special heating program--and the woman had no sympathy--probly doesn't even NEED to work to pay her bills *it's trying to storm so i need to shut comp down *i went to donate plasma today and ya have to have an appt- who knew! not from the info online! so-thursday next week i get to drive the 37 miles one way again.... *michael is having a weepy depressed bitter angry hating workers comp and his employer day *and the cat puked in the bathroom and in the bedroom...(in 3 places) *so---i am sure there are those having a much worse day-and i have to count my blessings( and that includes you guys and gals who let me whine) hugs and prayers to all.....

Our region is being devastated by fire.  Two of my acquaintances have already lost their homes.  My home and the homes of my family members are safe, but this is frightening and tragic for our area.  Please keep us in your thoughts as we go through this tough time.

So, this weekend, I plan to work at one of the evacuation shelters, taking care of the folks who had to run out without their medications.  What a way for them to spend Father's Day! Here is a link to the maps of the fire.

Sorry to hear she's had a stroke now....she is on the prayer list at my church, and probably at her church too.
I'm Lutheran, I think she goes to the Methodist. Anyway, I wish her all the best and hope this is only a minor setback.

Wish we lived closer, I'm a really good listener!

thanks pat! somehow i thought you were at the same church-my mistake! yes; she's methodist. all i got from mom this afternoon was that she(g/ma) had a stroke at the care center in kazoo and they took her back to the hospital.-in kazoo-...am waiting for news..... thx..i feel the hugs......
