Welcome Patty, Like all the others have said this forum is fantastic! Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. I haven't had my surgery yet so no words of wisdom from me yet other than to post often and ask questions and read replies. I pick up useful tidbits every day. Paulette
Hi Patti. Welcome! I am also relatively new to this board and have found it to be my OH home. I do check in on the California board too but spend most of my time here. As you have been finding out, the members here are a wonderful group of people who share support, information, sometimes a kick, and most of all friendship. With help here, you can get back to following the "rules" just like you did after surgery. Take care of your pouch and use your tool just like you did then. ~~~ Pam

Hi, I'm also posting for the first time here. I turned 51 in November 2007. I had WLS in April - lap-band. My profile is full of info about me. Just wanted to introduce myself!!

Hi Mary,
Welcome!
I turned 51 this past March and...I used to have two rescued Greyhounds. One was a fawn colored one, named Dreamer, like your Savage, and the other was a big tall Brindle named Jester.
Congrats on your weight-loss.
Cheryl

Aren't they awesome? Or as we say in the biz: "GREYT!" (I got a million of 'em)
THANKS for the welcome!
Hi Patty and welcome to the board. It's a wonderful group here. I have made so many good friends. One of the reasons I eat emotionally is loneliness and boredom, and my psychologist suggested I needed to find new friends ... and this is where I made my new connections. They have helped me a lot. Hope we can all help each other out. That's what we're here for.
Hi Patty,
I'm new to the forum also. I am only three months post op so the cheating hasn't occurred to me yet. I am still in that fear stage that I will become really ill if I eat something I shouldn't. Apparently you found that isn't true?
I am sure that we all go through that - that's when we need to jump on line and chat!
