The wizard just postponed!

Hi Debi.  Great to hear from you.  I am having my surgery at UCSF with Dr. Campos.  I visit this board and the California board but are relatively new to OH - just joined in May.  ~~~ Pam

Hi Pam, My daughter had that happen too... she already had her IV in and everything. It was very disappointing. I'm sorry it happened to you. We had our surgeries done at California Pacific Medical Center in SF. Is that where you will have your surgery done? I'll see you on the bench! Julia

My surgery was moved one day later too.  They had a complication with another patient and had to go back in.  They said they would still do mine but it was getting late and I didn't want tired doctors doing my surgery so I opted for the next day.  I was already in the hospital in Mexico.  I didn't go home but I didn go stay in the hotel with my husband and had a nice meal.  The only bummer was I had not eatin all day because of the surgery and had to starr that all over.  Luckily I did not have to do the milk of magnesia thing.  All went well and I was one of the first the next day which I felt alot better about.

I can now see this really isn't a rare occurrence.  Thankfully my MD doesn't do a bowel prep so at least I don't have that to do as a repeat.  I will have to take another Hibiclens shower.  Thanks for sharing the experience. ~~~ Pam

Wow, Julia.  That is devastating.  I was think how glad I was they called BEFORE I got to the hospital.  I am having surgery at UCSF.  With my insurance and physician group, that was the only option which is just fine with me.  Thanks for telling me it could have been worse.  ~~~ Pam

Pam, I'm feeling really happy for you that yourr postponement was only a couple days.  I'm having my lapband done at Stanford and it got rescheduled from June 2nd to August 4th and I am still P.O.'d about it, though I have managed to re-motivate myself and go back to exercising etc. Best wishes to you on your journey on Monday!
