Thanks, Margo, Oh they had said they should come out at some point but the 9 of us have been quite happy living together.  I didn't want to rock any boats so I never pursued them.  I moved on to many, many other things! My ankle is better so I suspect it's all weather related.....  LOL Kathi

Good Morning Margo and all, Not much new except our weather is finally suppose to be nice today, maybe 70. Hope so... Went to the thrift store last night after dinner and while Tom was at his class. Got just a couple of things. Am for sure now in size 7-8 pants. Some 6s fit too! I can't believe it!!!!! Small and xsmall tops...another that can't be true! thing. This time last year I was a size 22! One of the best things is getting to get dressed in the morning and not worry if it's going to fit this time...and so many choices!!! Margo, hope all goes well for you two today... Annette, I don't know what to say...that darn picture and those blasted thoughts we have in our heads that affect our eyesight are tough to change...but from what I can see you are a tiny little sweet lady, no fat anywhere! Kathi, you are doing so well, I was such a slug and a whimp after my surgery...I am impressed Connie, hope you have a nice visit with Pearl Pat, glad the surgery idea is a no go Take care all, Cheryl

We never touch people so lightly we do not leave a trace.

Good Thursday morning to you Margo and all my other OFF family.  Nothing much going on here. Bill has left to go to our nephews for something or other. With those 2 who knows~better yet who cares?! They are always doing something and if not doing something thinking up something to do! I guess they are going to a motorcycle show this week end but they haven't decided which one of 2 they are going to. Something seems to tell me that they will hit both. haha It is so overcast here today. They were saying rain tonight but Ithink it is going to be before that. I am so tired of nothing but rain around here. One of my friends on the IN board got flooded out the other day. Her and her family lost just about everything. I would appreciate prayers for Linda and her family. She has 2 kids and her and her husband has had several bad times lately. My girlfiend in Tera Haute (that is where Linda lives too) has some flooding problems too. She called me and told me that her subdivision was flooding. They had gotten over 6 inches of water in about 12 hours. It is just terrible here in IN. Thank God that we aren't having much problem here in NW IN. Usually Lake county (the next county over) gets a lot of flooding from the Calumet river. There has to be a stop to all this sometime and sometime soon I pray. People can only take so much.  I say last night on the sign at a local pawn shop that they were taking applications and so I am going there today to put my application in. Bill told me that he didn't have a problem with me working there. I sometimes sound off on him where I am putting my application since he is afraid of robberies. He has vetoed some of the places for that reason. The pawn shop is just down the road from me and is right in the heart of the downtown area. I don't think there is going to be a problem. It isn't my iedal job but I always say that you have a better chance of getting a job when you have a job.  Bill is home now and he is ou****ering his flowers. I just told him not to gice them to much water because it is going to rain. He is obsessed with his flowers.  I guess I had better get going. I have gone on enough. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are going up too, with special ones for those in need of them.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi Margo and everyone: It's Thursday and payday, but I don't have much to spend, so I don't know if I'm going shopping today. I have too many bills to pay. I do need to get a prescription filled (I have a free rebate coupon, which is good because the copay on this one is $50) so I may go out and get it refilled and pick up some small trash bags, which I use for kitty litter scooping. I'm almost out of those, and that is a must. I have a bit of a headache radiating from my neck area; feel rain coming on. That's another reason I don't feel like moving ... movement makes the headaches worse. Got an e-mail from my brother yesterday; he hadn't heard from Bruce for awhile and was concerned, so he called Bruce's wife. Apparently the news from the oncologist isn't as grim as we thought. Bruce's cancer hasn't spread to his liver, lungs and brain; the spot on the liver was there before and isn't anything to be concerned about; the tumors on the neck are benign and the lungs are OK too. His wife is looking to get him into drug trials. So it's not great but not as bad as Bruce made it out to be. Gary was getting ready to go down to visit over Labor Day but now thinks he might wait until Christmas anyway. I guess we don't really know when any of us is going to die, but some of us have a better idea than others. Anyway, we should all live like we're dying and enjoy life to the fullest. On second thought, I think I'll stay home. The headache is making me nauseous now. I was thinking of making coffee, but I think that might make me barf. Maybe peppermint tea instead and an Imitrex.  Margo, the only man I knew who was stoic about pain was my dad ... never complained about any pain in his life. Went out the day after getting home from hip replacement surgery and painted the porch, even though my mom planned to have my brothers there at the house at 7 a.m. so he wouldn't do it ... he got up at 6 a.m. and started to paint. Stubborn old man! Went to work with a broken toe (and he had a physical job, too). I don't ever remember him taking a sick day when I was a kid, and woe to us if we took a sick day from school. We had to be really sick to stay home. He wouldn't even go to the doctor. Probably why his cancer wasn't diagnosed until it was too far along. It's a good lesson to all of his children to have colonoscopies ... my brother has had polyps the last few times and now has to have colonoscopies every six months. (Luckily, I was clean at 50 and don't have to have another one until 60.) Well, have a good day.

Good morning Margo and my OFF family, I look forward each morning to read everyones news. Who would think that friendships form so fast. Each of you that are having difficulties are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm feeling a bit out of sorts today. I woke up with heartburn again...3rd a.m. in a row, I think I am either eating dinner to late (7pm last night) or sitting to much after eating dinner that my food isn't digesting.Last night I had some roast pork and broccoli salad.  I go to bed around 9:30 pm. We are supposed to meet our dear friends for lunch at Olive Garden today, she has lung cancer and has been having chemo and radiation for the past 15 months off and on. She is having a better day and wants to get out so I  don't want to cancel.  We haven't seen them in about a month. Also need to get a haircut today, my hair is getting all out of sort and with the hot weather I'm in desparate need of a new haircut.  Kathikins...I am happy you are doing so well so soon after your surgery! I heard from my friend Tom yesterday, he had RNY 11 days ago , saw his Dr. yesterday and was down 23 lbs.  His wife had RNY 3 yrs ago and lost @145lbs and has maintained it. Wi**** was time for mine, I am so jealous!!!  Paulette
