Oh yeah, I was aware, and am aiming for more than the 64 oz--the carpet's going to wear out toward the piddle-room!?!!  Thanks for caring Darlen!  Hugs galore, Patti

You're so very right, Margo!  I do have a fantastic GP which sure helps--he'd recommended WLS two years ago, and is very involved incorporating knowledge of both that and the MS.  Even swollen, I'm truly blessed (and especially with such caring friends on these boards!)  Hugs galore, Patti

Patti, As Darlene advised, add more liquids. It's like the olden days of "priming the pump".  If the mystery is solved, please let us know the results. I am glad to hear the diuretic helped. Annette

Thank you sweet thang!  Yes, I'd added more liquids the day Lasix began;  ankles/feet a're still pretty (not!) swollen even with intermittent leg elevation, and I promise I'll post after the EKG Monday.  Too bizarre!  Take care sweet 'pea (not a pun, because of the spelling! Ha!) Hugs galore, Patti

Ya know, I had this happen last Thanksgiving ... had happened before when I was super morbidly obese, usualy when I was travelling ... flying. Also happened last September just before I left to dog sit in Lubbock, but after I got there, the ankles deflated. Anyway, when it happened before Thanksgiving and I called my GP, his nurse pooh-poohed it and told me to lay off the salt and elevate my legs, scheduled an appointment for after Thanksgiving. When I called the ortho doc, they did the same, said there was nothing really wrong with my knee and scheduled an appointment for after Thanksgiving. In the meantime, the legs continued to hurt and get bigger. By the time I had the appointments, they were huge. The ortho doc was ticked at the nurse for pooh-poohing it; the GP scolded me for gaining 17 pounds (I said, "Look at my legs ... it's all water!" It took a whole four days more before he would prescribe diuretics ... in the meantime, I was packing my legs with ice bags and elevating them, trying to take down the swelling, and the physical therapist was using these compression boots to get the swelling down. I started on the diuretics on Saturday ... by Monday I had lost 17pounds. Sometimes doctors can be so stupid.

Wow, Eileen, your incidents and experience with medical 'professionals' were pathetic!  Gratefully, my case has been amazing, from the nurse on nurseline, to the medical staff and especially the doctor seen at the nearby clinic I'd not been to previously, and my regular clinic, same fabulous doctor for eight years--obviously has my appreciation! Am so looking forward to the big weight drop:  just nine gone as of yesterday morning.  Thank you for your interesting message, and wishing you the best of the best, kind lady!  Hugs galore, Patti
