Good morning Linda,  Ok so yesterday I ate my protein and vegies first and no snacks. We went out for lunch yesterday and the turkey chef salad (no dressing) was so huge I split it in half and ate the rest for dinner. so I counted up all the calories, carbs and protein for the day. Cal- 1250 carbs 120 Protein 92. So now I'm thinking I'm getting too much protein?   Here's my plan for today B- 1/2 c Eggbeaters w. 1 oz cheese & Coffee L- Salad (all vegies) D- 4 oz Chicken breast  & Broccoli salad (84cal 10.4 carbs 5 protein) I'm skipping the s/f  & f/f stuff as it seems like I'm craving the sweet stuff even if it is zero carbs. How many carbs and protein did your professionals say you should have Paulette? The protein looks fine to me according to the guidleines I was given. Check with your people...smile. Sweet stuff...zero carbs..do artificial sweetners affect you badly? Hope your day is going great...

Hi Linda, my regular nutritionist that I see monthly told me 130-150 carbs per day, & 1300-1500 calories per day, nothing about protein. The surgeons Nutr. said after surgery 50-70 gr protein daily.  So today I ended up with 77 gr protein.   44 carbs, 784 calories.  I can't seem to balance out my days calories, yesterday I was at 1200 calories today stretching to hit 784. . It is like every other day I have no appetite, and I'm forcing my self to eat to get even close to 900 calories, then the next day I'm hungry and eating like 1200 calories. My Nutr. wants me to work better on menu planning to be more consistent day to day.  Paulette

Rest Well, Linda, It's a good day for hooky I think.  I'm still drinking liquids for two weeks.  I was able to get 96 g protein in yesterday and over 67 oz in water.  Right on target so today will be much the same. Hugs, Kathi
