WHAT'S NEW?? IT'S TUESDAY!!!
I want to be Paulette today !! A day playing with grandbabies I love those days. With demanding Chuck I get so few of them. Last night I didn't get home from my day until 8:30 PM. After work I picked up my mom to take her on errends. She said she felt like some oriental food, I was in a part of town where I wasnt sure where things were. There was one resturant close but she didnt want a buffet, soI drove and drove and DROVE. past a billion strip malls andnotone oriental resturaunt. I thought it wa sa law that every strip mall had to have one. Finally stopped at a grocery store that has a great deli with a very good prepared oriental food section. I got a piece of chicken that was so tuff and stringy all I could do was chew it for a while and spit it out. Dropped mom off and picked up Christina( foster daughter that I raised) took her to a program on soothing babies and ways to combat SIDS. That took over 2 hours but she got lots of goodies for her baby, a little boy who will be born this week. Got home and had to do a load of laundry. I can not remember a rain free day. Sunday night "they" said no rain until Wednesday night. Chuck called last night and said he was having hail, with in 10 minutes it started to rain like heck at my house, no fair no fair!! Not surprisingly the mosquitos are getting bad. Nothing special today, work, tan, an hour at home then, pick up food to take to Chucks and cook.I am in bad need of a 4 bucks,, but my car gas take has been taking all of it..I was just thinking of something today that shocked and angered me. Friday I have to drive toMadrid Iowa to pick up Faith from camp..It will be a trip of over 300 miles. The cost of gas and dinner on they home will be more than the cost of her week at camp !!! @#$%^&*(

Good day you little redheaded Munchkin and OFFers! It's past morning.
Started with a migraine yesterday and it continues today.
Pat's (coworker/friend) dad was placed in hospice yesterday. At least he's resting comfortably now. When I talked to Pat by phone, I could hear him in the background moaning in pain.
Been busy trying to keep the Dept Head happy and going in the right direction. Pat, his sec. is spending what seems like the last days with her dad. He was placed in hospice yesterday. Dr. S. (Dept. Head) is leaving early. tonight he'll be receiving a very prestigeous award - the Rising Sun Award from the Japanese government. Only 15 people worldwide are receiving this award this year. He learned he was a candidate last year. It takes that long to be scrutinized and approved by the Japanese government - a really big deal, complete with sit-down dinner, by special invitation, at the Botonical Garden in City Park, a Japanese Garden started by Dr. S. This, and his many talents as a pathologist were instrumental in his being selected. He came in this morning, his first question was, "Has anyone heard from Pat?" His meaning was clear, not was she coming in, but rather how is her dad doing. Nice man, hard to believe he and my boss are such good friends. My boss was supposed to take the entire day off. He called and said he's coming in to look at the one case we received this morning. The eye doc didn't dilate his eyes after all. He'll be leaving early to attend the award ceremony this evening for Dr. S.

Good morning all my OFF sisters. I hope that today is good and hopefully dry too.
I have been not busy at all. Just sitting her watching t.v. and I like it like that. Bill is out in the back. He is spending a lot of time in the flowers. He was weeding and watering and just admiring. He loves his flower garden. As little as it he is just happy he has it. Bless his heart. He is a good guy and I am lucky to have him. He has stood by me during a time when others would have left. He took care of me when I was almost dead and then found out about the heart problem. God has blessed me with him. Now~I need all of you to remind me of this when he ticks me off next time. haha
Misty is looking out the sliding door. She is loving that it is open and the sun is shining (and no rain in the forcast until Thursday night!) and the breeze is wonderful. I love having the windows and doors open. It is great to breath fresh air and not the fake air of the air conditioner.
I have a meeting at the church tonight so Bill is going to have time away from me. I am sure that is going to please him. He is probably going to sit in front of the television and snack. That is something that he is good at~snacking!
I better get going. I do have some things to do around here today. Nothing exciting but it needs to be done anyway. I am sending love and hugs to all. Prayers are going up for everyone and special ones for those in need. Margo, prayers are still being said for your grandma.
