Whine, Whine, Whine

* * * Two of my best "girlfriends" are a gay couple. Those guys are the best male friends ever. Long story short... during/after my divorce I was kinda abandoned by my "christian" friends. These two took me in and nursed me back ... I learned a lot from them about rejection... I met a lot of duds too.... I was beginning to think all the decent men were married. No, they are out there but are gun shy.. .. It only takes one... AND I want him. LOL LOL sigh, Millie

Millie, some coincidence...after I separated from my husband, my "christian" friends went with him. It hurt alot at first but I didn't lose my faith...just didn't want to have any part of organized religion for quite some time. Also, I have not kissed a man (romantically) in 13 yrs. I do remember tho how good it can be....smile. I'm sure some day it'll happen again, and if it doesn't oh well, I have my memories. Right now, I have to concentrate on me...the person I've lost for many years caring for everyone else. I feel a bit selfish saying this but it is MY time. I may only have 20 good yrs left but darn it, they are going to be goooood yrs.  "Sweet Dreams" everyone!! I know I will. Alice

I spent a lot of time away from church and the so-called "Christian" community plus lost my faith for a lot of years.  Oh there are a couple of really UGLY stories I could tell about the way I was treated, but I'm sure they are no worse than the ones you could tell.  Thankfully several people have come into my life that have helped me find my faith again and a church where I truly don't feel judged.   Alice, Your remarks about the 'time you have left' has helped me get back on track.  Seems there were too many things coming at me yestereday.  I started on this wls journey for me and I can't lose sight of that now.  Thanks for helping me get grounded again.
