I agree with everyone here. You are having too many carbs and not enough protein.  Protein is at least 80-85 % of my meal. The rest is veggies. I have a snack of fruit  and add peanut butter to it if I think I will be light on protein.  You need to be eating more dense protein as it will stay with you longer......... beef, chicken, turkey and pork. The carbs are what is  most likely causing the problems. Be sure you aren't drinking with your meal.....I don't drink or an hour after the meal either. You want a snack have sugar free jello or sugar free pudding. You don't need the cookie  part of those Skinny Cows. You are sabotaging yourself. I have Blue Bunny Light No Sugar added yogurt every morning......only 7 grams of sugar. To that I add a small amount of Kashi Go Lean cereal for fiber( 1/8 cup or so). Kashi also fills you up longer. I am trying to maintain so I also have some string cheese. I would get rid of the cranberry drink as well. No carbinated drinks. Crystal light makes many, many flavors. Zero carbs....zero calories. You can have a different flavor evey day. Sip, sip, sip water all day long. Good luck...let us know how you are doing. Hugs, connie d

Well. Bonnie, the main thing you are doing wrong is being in your 50s instead of your 20s but since none of us can fix that...... I suggest you try varying your calories count each day-some days light (800-900) and some days up to 1400 or so, so that your body doesn't beocme complacent with a set amount of calories.  And of course the protein vs carb thing is an issue, but I sure do love my carbs.

* * * * * OHHHH GURL, I love the heading of your post... typical of any female I so much wanted to tell you what you are doing wrong (giggle) alas, my OFF sistahs beat me to it. lol I agree with the previous posts.... the emphasis on eating more protein. Protein with every meal..... AND snack. I limit my carbs.. NO carbs til all the protein is eaten. Of course I love proteins.... BEST WISHES & GOOD LUCK.... Millie

One cool thing I do is track my food on this website called thedailyplate.com All you have to do is put it in and it has nutritional values for just about anything, and their breakdowns, carbs, protien sugar etc.  It's very easy and its free.  That way I don't get off track.  Good luck.
