What we are eating, and what's eating us!!!! Monday..
Hi Linda,
I've had the stomach flu for four days. I missed two days of work. A lot of diarrhea. The good news is I'm feeling much better and have lost five more lbs. I stayed on track with my protein, vitamins and water through it so I should be fine. It turns out I may have got it from my 4 1/2 yr. old grandson last Sunday. It won't stop me from smooching up on him the next time I see him though!
B - Pure Protein Bar, Applesauce
L - Smart Ones Chicken Somethin'
S - Yogurt with Blueberries
D - A hot dog (no bun) most likely and some watermelon. Going to the cub scout pack picnic. There won't be many choices.
It is supposed to hit 95 here again today. Keep cool everyone.
Love 'ya,
Bev

Hi Miss Linda.......grams of protein???!!!!!??? I have no clue. They only have me counting calories betw.1300-1500 and carbs 130-160. But...I usually am between 900-1100 calories and about 100 carbs daily. No one ever said to count protein. I usually have 3-4 oz meat at dinner, some days eggbeaters 1/2 c for breakfast and some days cottage cheese 1/2 c..at lunch. Maybe since I am pre-op?? my surgery won't be till the fall. Well...I'll be.........I just looked at the list from the surgeon and it says after surgery 50-60 grams a day. Nothing about now. Maybe because I'm seeing a different dietician now?? Paulette
Hi Linda,
Our weather here is NOT spring like at all! We are seeing more rain and even snow in the mountains! Gonna be in the low 60s here and low 50s tomorrow, not at night but as a high! I have to tell ya, it's getting really old!
My tummy is still pretty sore, I am not eating too much as it hurts more when I do...will call the doc today. So my menu is mostly yogurt, cottage cheese. Probably no fruit or Meat or cheese. Not right now...
Linda, honey, I'm falling apart over here.... My eyesight is also giving me grief...my double vision is getting so bad the doc says he can't correct with my glasses any longer and need to go to the specialist....
As Rosanne Rosanna Danna says "It's always somthin."
But on the good side...I'm breathing and wearing a size 5-6/7-8! How can I even complain!
Have a good day friend!
Cheryl

Cheryl, I hope you do not fall apart!! Gilda Radner had it right for sure!! Just deal with one thing thing at a time, tummy first.
The eye sight is so important. I too know the feeling of falling apart, it is our age??? How old are you??
I have to use my magnifying glass for a lot of things these days.
Just take it slow and pray.
I tell my daughter that it is a struggle, and it is. We have to grab happiness.
Let me know what the doctor says asap.
You are in my prayers. As Cher said "I've been 40, and I've been 50, 40 is better...smile.
