Hi Honey, I'm Home!
Hi Connie, It's great to be back and able to keep in touch with you all. I'm anxious to hear how Nic is doing and your granddaughter as well. Here's hoping I'm doing everything I'm supposed to do. So far I have 32 g of protein in and 8 oz of water. I think I'll grab a popsicle after bit and work on more water today. The bullets are pretty easy to get in and full of protein. I think I'll stay with them for a few days.
Thanks for the spirit!
Hugs,
Kathi
Flashback!! Hearing about your experience brought back such vivid memories of my own surgery almost two years ago. It is a gift!!
You have now launched and are on your way, my dear, to health, fitness and freedom in your body. If you don't mind...what are your stats? Weight? Height? etc. I only ask because when I first had surgery NO ONE knew my weight (319), but ironically as the weight fell away, I LOVED telling my weight and my progress. It seemed like it was my therapy to share the journey downward honestly without fudging like I'd done for years.
As for the girls......let them be FREE, baby, FREE!! LOL My former 44DD's are now 34C's and only because I have to roll them up to fit into the C cup....Ha!! Padding is now my friend!!
I LOVE your sense of humor, your determination, your openness. We are blessed to have you on the Loser's Bench with us....our little sister who is destined for success!!
Aloha nui loa,
Maui Karen
Ah... Life is good to know I'm back on Maui with you, Karen! I thought of your descriptions of that beautiful land in this world several times the last few days. I hope you know that you bring such peace and great joy to me when you share..... It's so good to have your support, wisdom, and openess in my life.
I don't mind sharing my stats one bit. I just have to figure out how to get it all on the computer now that I have crossed over to this side of my life. I started my journey with the first visit to the doctor at 286 pounds. That was one year ago. Finding this support site and working with the "bariatric program" (my term for eating like you all do but in different quantities), I was able to lose 49 pounds before my surgery. I weighed in Thursday morning weighing 237 pounds. Came home from the hospital weighing 241 pounds. This morning -- after another morning of some diahrrea, I now weigh 235 pounds. I'm sure that most of the excess from my "weekend adventure." LOL I really don't care about how quickly the weight comes off because I know - from each and every one of you- the weight will come off now!
As for the bra - my udders are a-hangin'! That's the way it will be for a few days. I don't have to go anywhere until next week to have labwork done and that's next Friday I think.
Take care and I can't wait to spend time with you on my blue cushion on the Loser's Bench!
Hugs,
Kathi
