Hi Linda, I always have to use that darn mouse thing on my laptop and don't operate it very well, so I know what you mean! Am feeling a bit better, but mostly cuz I am taking that protonix and being VERY careful eating...more than usual...will call the doc monday. I think i will be doing yogurts without Kashi and cottage cheese without fruit today just as bland as I can...that seems to work for now. Have I said how much I appreciate you here? Well, I do. TTYL, Cheryl

Cheryl dear,I think bland is the way to go. I do not do kashi all the time. I hope your doctor can get to the bottom of this for you. I appreciate you too, I need to hear it all. We all have our dragons of some sort, and we can expose them here and slay them, or at least put them to sleep for awhile. I did not have a great food day yesterday, I could not find my desk key and was freaking out as no one has a copy! My grandson had the set! Hang in there girl! I hope today is much better for you! Hugs!

Happy Sunday to you, LInda. I hope that today is good for you. I know what you mean about the mouse. I use mine all the time and they are sure different aren't they? I am so use to it now that when I was up at the church office this past week I could hardly get use to the keyboard or the mouse. haha Guess what! We are having another cook out today. Bill wants hot dogs which really surprises me since he is not a big hot dog person. I told him that I would make hot dog sauce like mom use to make. That made him happy big time. Now that this is the 2nd day of his 9 day vacation we only have 7 more cook outs to go. That is if he only does it one time a day and he has been known to do it 2 times a day! Oh well, at least it is a meal that I don't have to fix!  B: sf oatmeal with banana L: hot dog w/o bun and hot dog sauce D: who knows S: sf pudding The hot dog sauce is just very lean ground beef and onion cooked down in a pan with water and chili seasoning. That is it. It is so good. I have been known to just eat it by itself. haha Have a good Sunday and stay happy. God doesn't want you any other way!! We must enjoy our lives while we are able to. I am sending love and hugs to you and special prayers too.

Hi Linda:  Sorry to hear about your mouse!  I hope you're feeling better! Cheryl:  I'm glad you're feeling a little better and hope the doc can figure out what's wrong asap! B:  protein cereal, milk & raspberries L:  taco soup S:  protein bar D:  veggie omelet S:  chocolate pudding I'm almost two months post surgery and have lost 30 to 40 # depending on where I put my start point.  This is the weight I've always gotten to in the past and been tickled to death to get here.  This is where I always stop losing and start gaining.  It' s like a bounce point for me - bounce down to and then bounce way up! I know that's not going to happen this time .  However, I have never visualized nor imagined anything different!  This is uncharted territory!  It's kind of scary!   Okay, okay, I will cancel the word scary and think about it as a new adventure of exploration. Thanks for letting me ramble!  nan

Hiya Nan! I understand what you mean about the weight! I have not been this size since high school, and it amazes me, I am lingering there now, and that is not good. I need to kick myself into gear, and am commited to that. You are right, this time, we do not have to fail. We are re-built,re-born. I ask everyday that I not be my worse enemy,I know I can be. Your pic looks nice, you look happy! Take care!

Dearest Linda:  Thank you.  Thank you for your reply.  I always post my eating for the day late and therefore don't usually get a response from you.  And, while I know it's because I'm late and you're at work ... the little fat girl inside me wonders if I forgot to put my deo on.  Ah......... I'm so pathetic!!  :)  nan

Linda, My mom and I did not communicate well during our visit yesterday.  She insisted on whispering because she didn't want her roommate to overhear us (her roommate is oblivious to everything as far as I can tell), but she couldn't hear anything I said even when spoken at normal volume so I had to shout to make myself understood! B:  1 packet weight control oatmeal made w/ 2/3 c. skim milk & 1/2 banana S:  1/2 c. cheesecake cottage cheese pudding L:  2 oz chicken adobo, 1/4 c. brocamole S:  1/2 c. LF cottage cheese w/ pineapple D:  3 oz tofu with peanut sauce, 1/4 c. mixed grilled veg salad S:  4 oz SF pudding Jean

Special HUGS Jean, Your interactions with your Mom bring back memories of my Mom. Go**** was so very difficult. Many days I left in tears.  Let me share a memorable moment with you. Mom had Alzheimers. It had progressed to the point that she forgot Dad had died 2 years before. She spent day and night searching for him. One day the nursing home called and said "Your Mom found your Dad". HUH??? As the staff was wheeling her to a meal she saw a bald-headed man in a white shirt with his aide. Mom got up, out of her wheelchair, and began to slap the man, curse him out for being with a younger woman. He did resemble Dad. Poor thing. After that she began to stalk him day and night. They finally had to move her to a different floor. That memory NOW brings a smile to my face. She was a shorty but feisty as the devil. Treasure the times with your Mom. Lord, it is so impossibkle to find much humor in your visits ... but some day you will look back and smile. Honest!!! Annette
