Good morning OFF!!    Good Morning  It is 2:45 AM here, and I haven't been able to sleep.  So I stopped by to get caught up and decided to start this.  So sorry to see how many are struggling right now!  I hope your days are soon filled with optimism and smiles!                                  Big Hug                             Wednesday was a bit hectic.  Started to walk my walk, and the storm sent some thunder and lightening.                                            Thunder    I stopped short of a mile.  Oh well.  Maybe this AM I can play catch-up.  Later in the morning, I did lots of laundry and sorted through some clothes.  I have 0 shorts to fit me.  UGH!!  Gotta shop...oh darn!?!?!?  Also got my hair cut and colored.  No more skunk roots for a few weeks. 3 1/2 days of school left after today.  Hard to believe that the school year is over.  Not quite sure where the time went.  Seems like yesterday that I sent the little guy to the bus stop with a sign around his neck  stating his bus # and kindergarten room #.    Mini Bus Awww shucks....I sure miss  those times!  It's a bit different with a kiddo who is much taller than me,has scruffy whiskers, and his girlfriend is high on his priority list.  Oh my, the circle of life!! Okay, I am off to slumberland.  So good mornin' to y'all and maybe I will poke my nose in here a bit later.                             HAPPY POSTING!!    Computer  Hugs, Lora

Margo, find an Embassy Suites somewhere and go to the Sales Department to make your 'deal'.  You can get much better room rates.  Of course, you may have to block rooms but you can negotiate on that, too. That way you'll be able to get 3-5 in a room if you need to to accomodate and you can have breakfast and happy hours.   Never call the hotel for a room rate... you have to talk to the Sales Department.   Janet

that was part of the prob-calling after "sales" had closed last nite! the embassy's in that area cannot offer breakfast or ****tails -which are not deal breakers but are nice to do right on site-you spoiled us!!!!   and they are a distance-trying NOT to rent the van deal... i'm not giving up! will make calls later!thx for the tip!!!!!

Good morning Lora and all After going to the grocery store I opened the car to find a shiney penny on my seat.  Thanks Lora's Dad!!!  After a day of hell and chaos I had the pleasure of relaxing on the phone with Carla for a while. Carla my Sister, your timing was perfect. Thank you so much The starter went on my car. I was out with my client when it failed. The darned thing sounded like a machine gun. Any change in routine upsets my client, she was so worried that we would be stranded forever. I made a call to the X (he has a towing service) and assured her I would get us home.  Her advice was perfect " Let's walk over to the Buick garage and you buy a new one". If only life could be so simple. X got the car started, no service fee for once, and warned me not to turn it off until I got home. Client said he was a nice man to help us out. I told her he was my X. "Then WE don't like him, he must be a bad man", was her response. I told her he was a good man. She said " Good, you can be friends but WE love Tom BEST". She may have developmental disabilities but was blessed with tons of common sense. My mechanic had it repaired in a jiffy. It is nice to have a repair garage right in the driveway and no charges for service. And he hand delivers the keys to my door. I rent the garage to him and that is part of our agreement. Long time friendship, good arrangement, good use of the garage from when X and I had the towing business. I sure hope this is a better day. If things go hairy, I'm putting on my jammies and crawling back into bed for the day. That's the plan. Love and prayers to all. We seem to need an extra dose lately. Annette

Good Morning Lora and all, I want to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughtful replies. I wasn't going to mention anything about my friend but am so glad I did. The family has decided not to have services, I think this has been such an unexpected shock that they are at a loss as to dealing with it all. She didn't have any plans or anything in place. I am disappointed that that is not to be but will figure out my own goodbye...Again thank you from the bottom of my heart... Annette, your little client sounds like a cutie. I like her way of thinking! Margo, I still would love to come to a get together but even though the planes go there...too expensive for me right now and flying is something I HATE...would rather have a pap smear! Or a root canal! Especially now, it is such an ordeal to fly these days...not fun to me at all. Our weather here is just plain crappy. cold and rainy...in the 50s and low 60s in the daytime. I suppose I could wear a coat and mittens and sit on my porch, but not so much fun as when its warm and sunny. Well, off to get ready for work... You guys are the best...really you are! Cheryl

Cheryl, Remember your friend in your own special way. You kind of did that already by sharing the friendship with all of us.  Oh giggle about the airplane fear. Well, not the fear, but rather having a pap smear instead. I hear you loud and clear.  My client is wonderful. She has more common sense than most people with a gazillion degrees.  Take care  Annette
