It's Official...I am not a diabetic anymore...
Thanks Connie...you know I guess sometimes I am just humbled by the opportunity this surgery has given me. My diabetic doctor told me that without this surgery and what I have accomplished because of it, I would probably have been dead within 5 years......and I know it would not have been a pleasant way to go.....with my weight and my insulin needs climbing every week, many complications were raising their ugly heads.....Thank God that has not happened.
I pray that so many others will be able to have this surgery to help them.
Love, Marti

Hi Marti,
Congratulations. I was type II taking Metformin. My wls doc told me I could stop taking the medication the day after my surgery and I haven't needed them since. It's amazing. No more HBP meds either. Last BP was 124/70. I had really painful arthritis in my knees too and with the weight loss I don't need pain relief anymore either. I was getting less and less mobile. Now I can do stairs, up or down, without the handrail. It is fantastic.
I am so happy for you. That must be such a big burden lifted. I hope you continue to have major health improvements.
Love,
Bev
I am so happy for you also Bev......and I was just thinking today as I followed a much younger Realtor down the stairs...WOW I don't have to do them one at a time like I used to either......it was so embarrasing to walk like such the old lady that I am......now I can walk like a normal person.....and in heels. Hugs, Marti
