Good Morning! It's rare for a Pacific Northwestern to start the thread but I actually slept till five and here I am! Not too much going on here. took Beth and friend out to camp for their camp counselor jobs. Kinda sad taking her for a job and not as a camper. Feeling a little old... To church and grocery shopping nothing too exciting. My stomach hurt so bad yesterday, but can't figure out why. Feels better today so far. Hope you all have a lovely Sunday, Cheryl

good morning Cheryl   it is raining here this morning , would be sleeping in but going to Sedalia, Mo for a meeting of a group of Mo. OH board people  hopefully it wont rain there since this is outside lol will soggy  people... then going on up and spend the night and tomorrow with a good friend of  ours she is in the process of trying to get surgery has been jumping thru her insurance companies hoops for two years now. , just doesnt seem right.  Hope you have a lovely plesant Sunday too. 

Hi Cheryl and everyone: As usual, I'm bringing up the rear, but at least I'm not at work. Hey, you know I sleep late. I slept til 10, stripped the bed, washed the comforter and sheets, put the other comforter and sheets on, then sat down to read the Sunday paper, had my AchievOne (I could have used some of those freebies, Deb and Candy!) and after that, had my coffee, did a little exercise although not as much because my knee is really hurting me today. The pollen count is low, the trees are done budding, so I opened the windows today. It's nice to get the fresh air in the house. The cats like to hear the birdies outside too. They aren't hiding in my bedroom anymore because I've got the sliding door open in the living room. The rest of the day was devoted to watching baseball and reading; tried to copy a DVD on my new DVD burner but with no success ... I'll have to ask computer geek what I did wrong. I kept getting error messages. Either I can't do it with this DVD (sometimes that happens) or I was doing something wrong. He told me all I had to do was to drop and drag, but it wasn't working that way and finally I had to reboot. Oh well. I tried. I was doing it for a favor for a friend; I had gotten the movie, "Amazing Grace," for my birthday and my friend who watches the cats while I'm gone had seen the movie with me and wanted a copy; I told her I'd try. No success this week. Also frustrated with the White Sox; they lost 3 of 4 to the Tampa Bay Rays; man, they could have won that game today but couldn't hit in the clutch. All close games they could have won with a clutch hit.  Talked to Mom today; she wanted to know if anyone was doing anything for her birthday next week. I told her I wasn't coming down and I felt bad about that, but she said she understood that I couldn't afford it. I'm going to put the books together I got for her in the work book sale and send them down. It will still be cheaper than a tank of gas.  Well, I feel the need for a nap. Felt that way most of the afternoon. Tummy was bothering me earlier and still doesn't feel all that great; don't think I'll do much for dinner. Tomorrow is going to be a long day because I have my pain injection for my back; I'll be gone from 8 a.m. until I come home at night, and I think we have a review, so it'll be after midnight. Then I have ceramics Tuesday and I really want to go because I haven't been there for two weeks.  See ya late Monday.

Yes, it is me....and it is 8:45 here.  All is quiet.  DH went to tutor a friend's daughter to prepare her for finals and DS is in la-la land...I don't expect to see the whites of his eyes til noon!  That's okay though, because he had a really exhausting week with projects and exams (that end of the school year hectic-ness) and the coming week is filled with finals!  ARGGGGGGGGG...

Well yesterday, I had a wonderful "chick date" with Mary (Baseball Mom).  We went to the movies...SEX AND THE CITY!!! OMG....if you were/are a fan of this show, the movie is a MUST see!!! It was fantabulous and I can't wait till the next one!  I felt like I was re-united with  4 girlfriends and enjoyed a wonderful 2 1/2 hour gab-fest!  I may even go back to do it again!  After the movie, (at which the entertainment around us in  the theater was a close 2nd to the flick), we went to dinner (Mark Pi's) and shared a delicious scallops and vegetables dish!   After that, we HAD to shop!  (The theater, restaurant and shops are all in one little "mall" called the Galleria).  We both bought some things at Coldwater Creek and Chico's.  Mary also got a great necklace at a jewelry kiosk, even though the proprieter was a b*^%h!!!  Unfortunately, Mary forgot her doggy bag there, and it was closed when we went back.   You should have seen how darn good Miss Mary looks and the fashion show she put on yesterday.....woohoo!!!  She looks fabulous!!  (By the way, her neck/shoulder bones are starting to show!!)  I did do something that I never did before...........I bought a pair of white slacks/jeans!   And they are a size 1 (and 1/2).  Okay.....that is Chico's unique sizing system....it equals a size 8-10.  But hey, a girl can dream right??

So that is it.  Today  we go to my Mom's....haven't been there in 2 weeks and she needs her Grandson fix!   The in-laws are status quo for those of you who have asked.  I think my FIL's surgery may be scheduled this week.  It depends on the shingles and his cardiac condition.  OY...it's gonna be a long hot summer..............

Lora, I fully understand your thinking on the sizes. I got some pants from Wal Mart and the size is 8-10. I think they run big since they look big on me anyway. But it is like I told Dr. Stanish~that is the size it says and I am running with it!!! I would take the size 1 and a half and go with it!!!!!!!!!  Love and hugs to you.

MORNING ALL.....WELL I HEARD BACK FROM GORDON FOODS....THEY ARE GOING TO CONTINUE INTERVIEWING FOR ANOTHER 2 WEEKS AND SEE WHAT THEY GET THEN WILL LET ME KNOW.....GRRRRRRR I AM SO TIRED OF THIS STALLING ON A JOB.....STILL WAITING FOR THE OTHER ONE TO LET ME KNOW...SEEMS THE MANAGER THAT HIRES IS ON VACATION TIL MONDAY NOW.....

I DIDN'T GO TO THE WEDDING OR THE RECEPTION FRIDAY NIGHT FOR GARYS GRANDDAUGHTER....JUST DIDN'T FEEL UP TO GOING....AND GLAD I DIDN'T GO TOO!!!! SEEMS THEY HAD NAMES TAGS FOR WHERE TO SIT AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN SITTING NEXT TO GARY!!!!!!! NO FLIPPING WAY!!!!! SO GLAD I STAYED AT HOME!!!!!! BUT HEARD IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING AND A NICE RECEPTION FOR THEM....

YESTERDAY AT WORK I HAD A SCARRY MOMENT....THIS BLACK GUY CAME IN AND HIS EYES WERE RED AS ALL GET OUT.....HIGH ON SOMETHING THATS FOR SURE!!!! (AND NOOOOOOOO I AM NOT RACIST AT ALL!!!!!!! SO DON'T EVEN GO THERE!!!!) HE CAME UP TO ME AND LEANED OVER THE COUNTER AND TOLD ME TO GIVE HIM FIVE.....I ASKED WHERE I WAS GETTING THAT FROM...HE SAID HE DIDN'T MEAN THAT JUST WANTED TO SHAKE MY HAND.....WELL HE WAS LOOKING ALL AROUND KIND OF SNEAKY LIKE AND IT SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME!!! I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE ROBBED OR SOMETHING!!!!!! HE FINALLY LEFT AND I WAS SHAKING AND I TOLD BRIAN ABOUT IT AND HE WAS SHOCKED THAT IT HAPPENED....WELL THE DAY WENT ON AND THEN HE CAME BACK AGAIN!!!!!!!!! TOLD ME HE WAS LOOKING OUT FOR ME AND KEEPING AN EYE ON ME!!!! OMG I ABOUT FREAKED OUT BIG TIME!!!! HE FINALLY LEFT BUT NOT BEFORE KATHY CALLED THE POLICE......WELL THE GUY LEFT AND NO COPS SHOWED UP WHILE I WAS THERE TIL 4.....DIDN'T REALLY EXPECT ANY TO SHOW BUT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE!!!!! ANY HOW I CAME HOME ALL SHOOK UP AND RICK KEPT ASKING ME WHAT WAS WRONG... I FINALLY TOLD HIM AND HE SAID ITS WHAT THE GUY WANTED WAS FOR ME TO GET ALL SCARED AND TO JUST BLOW IT OFF....WELL I COULDN'T JUST "BLOW IT OFF" I WAS SCARED TO DEATH!!!!!!!!! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO MEET MY MAKER OR GET ROBBED TIL THIS DUDE CAME IN!!!! I HOPE HE DOESN'T COME BACK AGAIN TODAY!!!

WELL THE WEATHER HERE IS FINALLY GOING TO GET WARM!!!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! ITS CLOUDY RIGHT NOW AND BREEZY WITH TEMP OF 57 SO FAR.

GOING TO A BBQ WEDNESDAY FOR MY MOM'S BIRTHDAY...MY YOUNGER BROTHER IS HAVING IT AT HIS PLACE....I TOLD HIM RICK WAS HERE WITH ME AND HE SAID OK WHO IS THAT??? ISAID MY BOYFRIEND AND ALL HE SAID WAS OH....SO HE WILL MEET HIM WEDNESDAY LIKE THE REST OF THE FAMILY THAT HASN'T MET HIM YET.....RICK IS LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING THEM AND I HOPE THE FAMILY IS ALSO. WE SHALL SEE....

LAST NIGHT MY KNEES WERE HURTING ME ALOT...WONDER WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT??? THEY NEVER HURT ME BEFORE.....TOOK A COUPLE TYLENOL AND WENT TO BED....THEY FEEL OK THIS MORNING.

GOT A SHOWER DOOR FROM MY BOSS FRIDAY NIGHT...RICK IS TRYING TO INSTALL IT HIMSELF....TRYING TO FIND TOOLS TO DO IT IS ANOTHER THING...GARY HAS TOOLS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND WHEN I NEED ONE I CAN'T SEEM IT FIND IT.....WHAT A MESS IN THE GARAGE!!!!! BUT THE SHOWER WILL LOOK SO MUCH NICER WITH THE DOORS INSTEAD OF THE CURTAIN!!!!!

OH!!!!!! GARYS LAWYER CAME IN THE STORE YESTERDAY ALSO!!! HE SAID HE DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS ME THAT GARY WAS DIVORCING....HE SAID HE WAS SORRY (I KNOW THIS LAWYER FROM BEING A CUSTOMER AT HARDWARE) HE ALSO TOLD ME TO SEND HIM IN THE BILLS THAT WE OWE AND MAYBE HE COULD HELP US OUT....BUT THEN HE SAID HE SHOULDN'T BE TALKING TO ME...I SAID SO WHY ARE YOU?? HE HELD HIS HANDS UP AND WENT ABOUT HIS SHOPPING AND THEN WENT TO THE OTHER CHECK OUT AND LEFT WHEN HE WAS DONE. NOT SURE WHAT I SHOULD DO NOW...CALL MY LAWYER IN THE MORNING?? YEAH I THINK SO!!!

WELL I RATTLED ON LONG ENOUGH HERE....CONGRATS TO ALL THE ONES WITH "WOW"MOMENTS AND WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW PEOPLE I HAVE MISSED!!!! JUST BEEN BUSY HERE WITH RICK AND GETTING IN ALOT OF GOOD EXERCISING!!! SURE GOING TO MISS HIM WHEN I TAKE HIM BACK HOME NEXT WEEKEND!!!! BUT THEN MAYBE I WILL HAVE A JOB TO GO TO WHEN I GO BACK THERE!!!!! PLEASE KEEP FINGERS CROSSED FOT ME THAT I FIND ONE SOON!!!!!!

Good Mornin' All,   Got my cuppa & have a few minutes till DH comes down.     Wednesday I started my new job.  I will be the Community Business Director for an Atria Senior Living facility (that means all-purpose accountant in plain language).   This company is nation wide & seems to have an excellent training program & great corporate support.   It will be another 2-3 weeks before they hand over the responsibility for the job, but I am getting to do tasks "hands on" which is my best way to learn their systems.   AND, best of all, they have no problem giving time off for me to take Mom to her various Doctor's appointments.  In fact, on day 3 I didn't get to work till after her appt, which was 10:30 am - no problem for them - YEAH!!! I am now furiously getting ready for my Mother's 90th Birthday party, one week from today.   My Sister from San Francisco & her family will be staying with us, so gotta spruce up the extra rooms & bath.   We're putting up a big, double canopy in the back yard for shade & preparing a BBQ.   This is the first time in a long time that I've had a large group over without my two Daughters to help hostess.     We wanted to keep the numbers down as Mom is overwhelmed when the group is too big/noisy/rambunctious.  She kinda gets on overload, so we limited it to her 4 children and their spouses and only the children who are young & still live at home.  We'll have 3 children under 10, and that amount should be manageable for her.  Anyway, got to run now, if I organize menu, shopping list & task list, my DH will be doing all the prep while I'm at work this week.   Don't know what I'd do without him!!!! Hi Cheryl and the gang!!!! Got my coffee and I am up around 0930. Called my guy friend in Denver and his dad passed away last night. His dad was 93 and lived a long healthy life. Carl is going to Denver on the 24th to see our friend for a week. Our new car is wonderful and Ill take a picture and post it today. Nothing else going on here. I am off today and have to make 12 Ivy Halos for Lilys mom for her class for Wednesday. They are having a greek party for the end of school. Carla
