How fun you got out and burned off that coffee!  LOL  I think the satellite is kind of fun, too.  Thanks very much for putting my pictures up there.  If THAT isn't further motivation for me, nothing will be......... 2dles! Kathi

Aloha Jan.....Oh, I was so excited when I read your post, and then I went to the site, and they don't have MAUI ON THERE!! I was so disappointed. I thought maybe I could get my beach walk mileage down somehow. I can find it with the Google maps...but don't know how to get how far I've walked. Oh well....great for others.

You know what? We weigh the same right now!! I never dreamed I'd get down to 152...never wanted to in fact. I was happy with 175, but my body had other ideas. Now I have the situation where I need to gain weight...who'd a thunk!! I don't want to get into bad habits, though, just because I can eat freely....know what I mean??

It's so good to see you, and I hope you are doing great, feeling great, and happy, happy.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Oh, Karen - I'm sorry that goggle doesn't have it set up for Maui!  Maybe they will soon.   It's helpful to know that I am increasing the distance of my walks, while exploring new locations.   Oh, how I wish you & everyone else could have joined us this morning - this trail is to die for (for city gals, at least). OK, we may weight the same, but it's kinda like comparing a gazelle to a hippopotomus!   You, my dear are the 5'11" gazelle, and I am the 5'3" hippo who has only recently slimmed down a little.   Still, I am not complaining - like you, I feel on top of the world, full of energy & feeling great! Who would think you might want to put back on a pound or two?  Somehow, I don't think I'll ever get to that point, but who knows - never say never.       It's great to hear from you.  I don't post too often lately, but I do enjoy reading the posts (I know, that's bad, isn't it?  I'll try to post more) Aloha & Hugs Jan

Omigod, Jan...you did find it! If you drag down, down to Hauoli St., and look at the row of condos, you can see where the white sand beach begins. That's where I start my walk...and walk to the bunch of trees...so far. I haven't been walking lately, but that is where I had been going.

That map is so much clearer than when I tried doing it just straight google maps. You are amazing, my dear friend!! I wish I could "rent" you for awhile to show me cool computer stuff,.......Ha!

Thank you so much. Now I have to figure out how to use this new toy.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

I hear you!!! I walk on trails, so I can't clock it with the car.   To get your average speed, take the number of miles you walked & divide it by the number of hours you walked.   For example, if you walked 3-1/2 miles  in 1 hour & 50 minutes --- Converting to decimals, that would be 3.5 miles in 1.833 hours (50 min = .833 of an hour) So,  3.5 miles Divided by 1.833 hours = 2.09 Miles Per Hour
