Thank you all so much for your support! As a newcomer to this board it means so much.  Earl & I have decided to run away for the day tomorrow. We're going to Wisc to my mom's to get my "old" Schwinn. Earl's going to get new tires & tubes for it so I'll have a bike to ride. Should help with the frustration and the weight loss.  Also I just talked to a friend of mine in the insurance industry, she told me what I need to do about the hospital bill. she'll help me get an appeal lettter written Monday night and tell me who all to send it too. Friends always make a bad situation seem better.  Thanks to each and everyone of you! Paulette

Paulette, .. .. .. Now aren't you glad you didn't over do the "comfort" food !! !! And how lucky you are to have a friend able to help you with the insurance...... GAWD, Insurance companies. It's all in the wording. How you say it.... I use to be in Employee Benefits.... and saw first hand how the wording affects the outcome of a policy. Such a grey area. I'm so glad you are coping better.. Have a safe and fun trip to your Moms.... Millie

Paulette Well day-amn - don't go out and waste your money on a lottery ticket today. It has been a sucky one for you. Game plan? Relax over the weekend, you can't do anything until Monday. Monday morning start making phone calls. Take this one step at a time, not one mouthfull at a time. You don't need the daughter to write a letter of appeal. You appear to be a good writer. Do it yourself and thumb your nose at her the next time she asks for help. Save a copy before you mail it though. Same with the SS - many people have to appeal before they get approved. It almost seems to be their standard practice to deny the first time around. Hang tight and try not to lose your focus. This is your WLS Internship and it is not easy at all. Annette

Just remember to take deep breaths and put one foot in front of the other. You have a wonderful friend who is going to help you write your letter. Take the time with hubby and enjoy yourselves. Get your old bike and fix the tires and soon you will be on your way to having the wind blowing your hair and just relaxing. Sometimes you just have to jump through a lot of hoops to get to where you are going. I think between your friend and your doctor you may get somewhere. Keeping you in my prayers and lots of love and hugs to you. People get turned down a lot for the SS. I have a friend who has been turned down and got a hearing and it was approved. Just keep your chin up!

that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Oh Paulette, what a crummy crummy day. It's Saturday now, so hopefully today will be better. Big hugs and lots of encouragement. You know that ole Satan doesn't like us to have anything to be grateful for so don't let him be in charge!
Joyful hugs,
Connie

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to each and everyone of you!!!  I do feel so much better this morning. We are getting ready to head out for the day. Only problem I see is the food thing as my mom is a skinny minnie and likes to feed everyone except herself (she's 83lbs and 5'5")But we covered the food topic last nite with her. Told her Earl was treating me to a day of R&R which means eating out our meals but I have more control that way. There is a great restaurant near her that has wonderful salad choices, so we'll go there for lunch and eat dinner at home.  I'm taking some fruit and a carb control yogurt with in case I get the munchies. So all should be good.   Again, I really appreciate the support all my new friends have shown me and you allowing me to vent.  Have a beautiful day! Damn!! It is pouring down on you, sweet sister. I relate to the eating and not stopping too!! Just breathe and control what you can. There is a forum on here with ideas on writing an appeal letter. Call the damn doctors office 3 times a day asking if they have a open spot,it will make you feel good to annoy them, and they will keep you in mind, if they have one, they will call. My thoughts are with you. Hugs..
