Yeah Friday and my weekend has begun already.....worked yesterday so I have a three day weekend. Going to Angola, Indiana to Menards for some shopping later on...right now I'm showered, dressed, drinking my carmel truffle decaf, and have a load of laundry going. Have a headache this morning, didn't get home from DS's softball game until nearly 11 p.m. and hit the bed soon after. ...have to say I slept like a log, probably because I was so tired from working in my garage all afternoon!!

Changing up my menu a little - finding if I have one meal a day with just a protein shake the wt is finally coming down.

Here goes:
B - protein shake
L - not sure, may eat out with a GF
D - lean cuisine turkey dinner
S - apple w/pb

I am too scared to buy anymore jeans .....maybe in 20 more lbs. Good for you Linda!!

Linda...congrats on the skinny jeans!  I keep looking at mine...well I have several different ones, in different sizes...but only 1 pair that will fit very soon I hope.  I am far from computer illiterate but I can not seem to get the hang of the Daily Plate or Fit Day. I hope to conquer one or the other this weekend.  My dad has been terribly sick and hospitalized...this is #9 admission since his birthday last Oct. 26th. Now that I am finally feeling like a human (RNY 4/3/08) I am spending much time with him to give my poor mother a break. By the time I get home each day I am worn out. For the 2 months since surgery I have had no fibro pain...but now it is back...and in my back.  I am having to work really hard to get everything in. Wed. was the first time since surgery that I managed to get required amounts of protein, vits, water and calcium in...I was so proud of myself!  Anyway since I can not get into the Daily Plate I will make myself accountable here until I figure it out.  B....Protein Shake, 12 ozs water, prilosec, vit, calcium S....Dannon yogurt cup and 20 ozs water (took 3 hours) L.... 3 multigrain cracker sqs with peanut butter, 12 ozs water S....small slice of cheddar cheese and 3 Wheat Thins multigrain + water D....3 bites chicken enchilada, 4 bites of refried beans & water & hot tea Bed....Protein Bullet and more water. WOW, skinny jeans, that has to feel great!  Congratulations!   I'm doing a slow burn since last night.  I posted my little vent on What's New, so I won't repeat it here. Yesterday I stopped at the grocery on my way home - they had apple pies reduced from $5.99 to $1.99 guess who bought one.  An hour after dinner George opened it and we each had a small piece.  This morning it hitched a ride to work with me and is now being devoured by my coworkers!  Yeah, apple pie is history!  There's no way that temptation was spending the weekend at home. B - banana with peanut butter S - protein shake L - salad with chicken, tomato, cheese, greens, and light Ceasar dressing S - yogurt D - bbq chicken, veggie, and salad George played (I say played instead of worked, 'cause he enjoys it so much, it can't be work!  To me it would be a form of torture.  Ewwww bugs and dirt and yukky things!) in his garden yesterday evening and came in with four eggplants, several tomatoes, and a handful of green beans.  I may cook the eggplant in a nonstick frying pan and bast it with light Italian dressing. Hi Debbie, Maybe you can make Eggplant Rolatini's.  It's like making stuffed shells only you roll the Ricotta cheese filling up in Eggplant.  Slice the eggplant lengthwise (see picture) dredge through egg whites with water added (use the yolks in with the ricotta cheese filling) and bread crumbs.  Put on a cookie sheet and spray lightly with olive oil cooking spray.  Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 20 minutes on one side and 10 minutes on the other.   Let them cool a bit.  Either spread the whole slice with the cheese filling and roll like a pinwheel or put a column of the cheese filling in the middle and roll it up.  Line the eggplant rolls up in a baking dish, cover with sauce (could use your tomatoes) and some mozzarella on the top and bake at 350 degrees for a half hour or so.  You have your protein and your veggie together.  It should be easy to find a recipe for the ricotta cheese filling and adjust to WLS standards. Thanks Bev - the picture didn't come through.  I do know what you mean though.  Sounds delicious.  Only thing is these are the long skinny Japanese eggplant.  When George starts picking the regular eggplant I'll try it.  Already know I'll mix the ricotta with fresh oregano, basil, thyme and chives from the herb garden and some garlic, maybe an egg.  Ooooh yummy!
