Happy Anniversary my friend!!  Good to hear all is well for and with you.  I had to laugh at the loading firewood.  Just the thought of doing something that strenuous would have given me a heart attack 5 years ago, and now it's just a matter of course and what's in front of me next.  I'm down to a size 4, as my body has gone and decided it was going to get smaller.  I'm feeling well and my doc says I have the body of a 40 year old.  I can deal with that!  We are all doing great with our situation and loving it, growing our hearts and minds daily.  Love life in Arizona and the career is going really, really well, better than I projected.  Bought some goat cheese the other day for a salad and cannot eat that stuff without thinking of you!  ...............................................

Nice to see you and thanks for the hug!..........................

Love,

J

Oh it is soooo good to see you. I think of you often, especially in the spring. I had 2 od those nasty obstructions, 3 months apart. I was scard to eat for a while, saddly that fear has passed. My daughter was married saturday and someone overheard the comment " If the bride is as hot as the mother the groom is a lucky guy" can you believe that?? I am still blushing and beaming.I hope to post pictures tomorrow. Please don't wait for another anniversery to stop in. You always had the most interesting life. BTW I carry a large thing in my truck so when I run across good  fire wood on back roads Ialways stop and haul it home to my chiminea. Would be nice to be able to use it, we can't seem to get 2 dry days in a row. Blessings Jean

Aloha Nancy........It was so good to see your face and post this morning. I am not sure why we missed connecting while you were on Maui, but I wish we had.

Hearing your 4-year journey is so wonderful. YOU are the living proof that we can all continue to thrive and live our lives fully, and that we don't have to go back ever again to our big selves who had to be so careful about everything we did.

Sorry to hear about your miserable airplane ride to Hawaii. I just got back from Calif. and the birth of my 3rd grandchild, and I am so thankful that I didn't get sick during the whole stay, but I DID get sick for a day after I got back to Maui. I think I ate something too fast or too much. I keep forgetting that papaya is one of the fruits my nut keeps telling me to eat because it is so good for us........best natural laxative, too!

Your life in Oregon sounds so peaceful......much like the pace here in Hawaii. Being in Calif. for two weeks made me especially thankful to live where life is tranquil. Their speeds there, both in traffic and in life. were dizzying!!

Keep up the great work, and thanks so much for coming in and sharing your story with us.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

That made me smile.  You'd be surprised how many people do not remember good ol' Evelyn Wood (the other one!)   Actually, I took one of her courses years and years ago -- and I CAN read really really fast -- so bring on those longer posts!  I'd love to read them!

Nancy, Congratulations on what sounds like 4 very wonderfully lived years, and wishing you many, many more!   While I am a relative newcomer here, I just wanted to thank you for dropping in and sharing such inspirational and hopeful words, and to Darlene and the other "oldtimers" on here, God Bless your hearts and thanks for sticking around and offering your wisdom! Hugs, Laureen

Congrats on four years ... you are just a month or so ahead of me. My anniversary is June 29. I am pretty much at goal too, so I know what you mean about being able to eat more ... I am too and have to watch myself, although I was always able to eat things that others weren't able to eat. There was never a food that gave me problems.  I remember you from a few years back when I first found this site, basically from your sign-on ... there's a woman I used to go to ceramics with here who raises goats and makes goat cheese, and when I saw that you raise goats, you reminded me of her. Glad to see you back; we've missed you.
