MONDAY WEIGH-IN
Good morning, Esther. I am so sorry that you had a not good week. Just think that tomorrw will be better~so next week will be better.
I am waiting (notice the word patiently isn't there!) for onderland to happen! If I lose a half pound I will be there! Now, you and I both know that it is going to take me a gazillion years for that half pound to come off. My weight loss is slowing down ALOT and I just want to get rid of the half pound~I don't think that is wanting much. But then again I have 9.4 pounds to lose for my century card! That is going to take over a gazillion years~oh poop!!!!
Before surgery: 291.0
Last week: 201.2
This week: 200.4
This week's loss: .8
Total loss: 90.6
I remember a time when I would lose a couple of pounds a week and now it is down to less than a pound. I have to re-evaluate some things I think.
Brenda,
I just looked at your surgery date and your stall/slow down makes perfect sense. My dietician warned me to expect the same thing to happen between 6-8 months out. Boy oh boy was she correct. You are at that stage right now. Frustrating!!
It would be great if I could tell you that soon the pounds will start to melt away - they WON'T. But if you stick with it, that miserable scale will move.
Make sure to get in plenty of protein, water and exercise. Those seemed to be vital for me.
A big hug for you my friend
Annette
Hi Annette,
I have had a cough for two weeks so my doctor put me on prednisone and I hope that is the water weight I have gained. My fingers feel swollen but I am off of it now so I hope I lose the water weight and the bloating. I have not been using salt and watching the sodium.
Thanks again,
Hugs,
Esther
Esther,
If only we could lose weight at a nice, steady rate. But it doesn't work that way - at least not for me. Last weekend I gained 2 lbs in 3 days. Took it off again this week, so this week's loss isn't really as impressive as it looks!
Highest Weight - 221
Pre-op - 212
Last week - 143.6
This week - 140.6

Esther, 1.5 pounds is NOT a huge amount... I understand the frustration but overall you have been doing wonderful. I'm having a slow weight loss and I'm fine with that, for now.. .. .. And .. .. .. .. Brenda... It took me two weeks to lose the 2 pounds to be under 200. Finally. I lost 3 pounds and it put me at 198 Yeah..... We will all do a Snoopy Dance when you reach your goal.
