There you are!  I was getting worried!  God bless our troups!  God bless America! I have to work today.  If the boss ever get here, we can start playing catch up since he took off Friday and 7 cases came in.  Our manager already said we could close early.  Wanna bet Dr. Grumpy pants won't let me leave.   B - protein shake S - banana and yogurt L - salad with boiled crawfish, cheese, home grown tomato, and lettuce S - protein shake D - baked fish, green salad, home grown corn  (maybe a little potato salad made with leftover boiled potatoes from the crawfish pot) S - peanut butter  Sat while at the Boogaloo on the Bayou I had the most delicious crab cake, then at the baseball game I had a hamburger - topped it with a little ketchup and mustard and threw the bun away!  So even though we were in the street all day, I did pretty good!  We had a small ice chest in the trunk with bottled water, a protein shake, and some cheese!  Sun was an egg for breakfast, ham and cheese from lunch, and boiled crawfish for dinner, crackers and peanut butter for snack. Have a great day! Debbie

Hiya Deb, sounds like you did great with your food! I have become soooo lazy! I do NOT want to cook...I bought 40 yogurts yesterday, the ones with 12 grams of protein, a cooked chicken, so I could feed Pookie...LOL!! I hope Groucho lets you go home...and YES!  God bless America, I must say as a African American,I have received many comments about Abama, one of them is that I should be voting for him because of his color, to which I respond, "honey, I have not got along with a Black man in over 20 years"!!! Have a great one, and God bless our country. Hugs!

Hi All, Went to a college graduation just south of Minneapolis yesterday. It was quite warm and very humid but that's not uncommon when expecting storms up here. A tornado went by us and touched down in St. Paul then continued across my state of Wisconsin. Today is sunny and beautiful. I plan to get some much needed yard work done. I think it is safe now to uncover my roses. Our winter lasted longer than usual this year. I already made a big pot of black bean and lentil soup. Just threw in chix stock, dried beans, onion, garlic, and celery. I read on the bean packages how much protein is in them so I thought I'd make enough for the week and eat one cup a day (probably in the evening when I won't be sharing the side effects.) So that is and was my breakfast, so probably the rest of the day will be protein shakes, water and maybe alittle fish. If I get ambitous enough, I'll get my gas grill going and grill that fish. I have my first appt with my Psychiatist/Psychologist on Wed. With all going on in my head, she'll earn her money that day.  Yesterday at the graduation, I was very embarrassed that I could not walk up and down the many sets of stairs. I made up the story that I had hurt my foot the day before so everyone would slow down for me. I felt like crawling into a corner. Everyone else in our party was so trim and very fit so I had a very hard time keeping up. I need this surgery for sure.  Alice

Alice, your day is coming. Your honesty made me remember so much about where I have come from. I get grumpy, take a lot of meds, and get pissy about my last 50 pounds I have to lose. Please stay strong and open, you are needed here! Beans do rock!! Gas and all, still a great source of protein.  They say if you can visualize something, you can make it happen. I hope you see yourself down the road, happier, healthier! I, on the hand, will spend part of the day looking back down the road, from where I have come, I believe this will give me power to push on. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Linda:  Happy Memorial Day to you.  I am touched by the profiles of fallen soldiers as remembered by their families on CNN.  Such tragic losses!  I am giggling at your Obama comments!  My DH is African American and he's so disgusted with politics he may vote for our cat for president!  It's still overcast here today with temperatures in the 50s and low 60s.... a typical early summer day for us.   It costs so much to drive anywhere we're debating as to whether we will go to an art show of a well known local artist.  He has a wonderful print of a lighthouse at sunset that I'd love to acquire.  Ah well, if it's meant to be it will be, right? I'm not looking forward to going to work tomorrow.  I wish I'd win the lottery so I could call in rich! Have a great holiday.  nan
