what's new saturday?

Hi Annette and all, I have been up since about 4am and am trying to get up the gumption to go to Walmart and get groceries before it gets full of  the herds of people  that  Saturday brings. Spose to be cool and rainy here all weekend but right now it is very lovely outside. I wi**** would jut be warm enough to sit out on the porch. Not much going on here and I like it like that. I will probably fit a nap in after groceries. So if I want to do that I better get a move on. First I have to go spend a fortune to put gas in the car so I can get to the store! That will hurt I'm sure. Take Care all! Cheryl

good morning . . . happy Saturday! Our hot weather from last weekend plummeted and we'll be in the low 60's this weekend.


I have Sun/Mon as my days off, so I don't get a 3-day weekend; however, I get holiday credit to take whenever I want.

We'll be having the kids over for a BBQ.

We're still trying to figure out our summer . . . any ideas?

Trying to get going this morning .... woke up to a sore neck and don't know why. So far I've had a shower, made my bed, and checked e-mail....breakfast consisted of left=over BBQ chicken and some s/f pudding....what a combination! I always put 2 big scoops of protein powder in my pudding when I mix it up, so at least I got lots of protein for breakfast.

It's chilly here this morning and I just want to climb back into bed.....should just put on a sweatshirt and go take a walk.

Have flower bed ready to put plants in this afternoon.

I made the mistake of telling Fluffy she could go outside with me when I work in the garden, and she knows what outside means, so she is whining and crying to go out!!
Dumb cat.

Have an african violet that needs to be divided - there are at least three plants in the pot....scared to death I will kill them all, so I've been putting it off for literally months.
Just have to bite the bullet and do it, I guess.

Going to my sister's tomorrow now instead of Monday for a cookout. Taking a cauliflower salad.

Better do something constructive now.......

Hi everyone, One cuppa down, on my way out the door to work so I'll get my other latte on the way. I have to work all day today so  three day weekends don't exist for me unless I want to miss out on the business. No a lot going on here. Gary has finally finished the police academy so the $125 a week gas bill will go down, well, sort of.  At least he'll go from driving 100 miles a day back to 30.  It will be good to get back onto our old routine. Well, gotta run, so hugs to all!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING ALL!!!!!!!!

WELL ITS A BEAUTIFUL SUNNY MORNING HERE IN SAGINAW MICHIGAN AND WE HAVE PLANS FOR WASHING MY CAR AND WAXING IT TOO....YESTERDAY WAS YARD WORK FOR HIM AND I WORKED ALL DAY WITH THE BIG MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND SALE...OMG YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT IT WAS THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS THE WAY PEOPLE WERE WAITING OUTSIDE BEFORE WE EVEN OPENED!!!!!! WAS BUSY NON STOP UP TIL ABOUT 4 WHEN IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO GO HOME.....WOW WHAT A WORKOUT!!!!! CAME HOPME FROM WORK TO A NICE BBQ CHICKEN DINNER PREPARED BY MY WONDERFUL GUY!!!!! AHHH ITS SO NICE TO HAVE A GUY AROUND THE HOUSE....ESPECIALLY ONE THAT LOVES TO COOK AND CLEAN....LOL

WE ALSO WENT FOR A NICE LONG WALK LAST NIGHT WITH BANDIT....CAME ACROSS A BIG DOG THAT WAS TIED OUTSIDE FENCED IN AREA AND IT TRIED TO COME AFTER US....I PICKED BANDIT UP WAY BEFORE WE GOT THAT CLOSE BUT STILL IT CAME AFTER US.....GOOD THING IT WAS ON A CHAIN!!!!!!! RICK WAS READY TO ATTACK IT IF IT CAME ANY CLOSER TO ME!!!!!!

GOT MORE PAPERWORK FROM THE LAWYERS AND ITS ALL STARTING TO FALL IN PLACE NOW....JUST A MATTER OF TIME NOW BEFORE ITS ALL OVER AND DONE WITH!!!!

HAD A WOW MOMENT AT WORK YESTERDAY....MAN I WAITED ON  WAS LOOKING AT ME FUNNY AND I FELT KIND OF WEIRD WHILE RINGING HIM UP....I TOLD HIM HOW MUCH HIS ORDER WAS AND HE SAID OMG I JUST REALIZED WHO YOU WERE!!!! I SAID HUH??? HE SAID HE THOUGHT I WAS A SOMONE NEW WORKING THERE AND THEN IT DAWNED ON HIM THAT IT WAS ME WITH ALOT OF WEIGHT MISSING!!!!! HE SAID I LOOKED ABSOLUTLEY BEAUTIFUL!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!! MADE MY DAY THATS FOR SURE!!!!!

Good Morning Friends,   Thought it was about time a grabbed a cuppa & checked in.   Lots has been going on.    I got a new job (I know, I kinda hate to give up so much of this discrecionary time, but I gotta have Medical Insurance & cobra will max out before I know it).   I will be the Business Community Director (that means accountant) for an Assisted Living facility.  This place is 1-1/2 miles from home.  I could walk on the trail by the creek for half the way.  Unlike the last job I tried, this org has training & support in place, so I am hopeful it will be much better. I've spent the last week shopping for clothes & fabrics as all the clothing I'd purchased since losing weight is jeans & t-shirts.  I have no trouble fitting pants, but wonder why there are no colors available in the stores.  I finally found aqua & fuscia pants by going to a store that caters to the leisure world community.   I mostly don't like the tops I find or they don't fit right, so I've got the sewing machine earing it's keep again.   The weight is still coming off, but very slowly now.  Looks like 3 pounds for May, but that's o.k. as long as it's in the right direction.     I'm doing the countdown for Kathikins surgery on June 5th --- I think I'm even more excited about hers than I was about mine.   Two reasons for that:   1) she so toally deserves it,   and 2) Now I know firsthand all the great things in store for her!!! So glad you and your honey got your vacation in before the job market snaged you again.  Hope this positions works out for you.   Hey Jan, I've been looking at Scooters for about a month.  I'm thinking the gas savings going to the store might work for us.  We do live out in the boonies and drive dirt roads . The store is 3 miles , only 1/2 mile is dirt.  Sounds like fun, just don't want to be a target for drivers that aren't paying attention to a Lil' scooter.   Kathi is so lucky to have you as her Angel,  Will you be able to drive over to see her while she is in the Hospital.  I don't know how far away from you she is.  I'm going to be out of town on the 5th. but will be home on the 7 th. She did say that her cushion works best in Blue,  We'll just snuggle her in real close to all her sisters and brothers. Tootles, Peg

Thanks, Jan! How did I get so lucky to have you for my angel?  I'm just glad you are my friend!  Surgery still seems pretty far off to me in my mind for some reason..... Good Morning Family--I know I have been missing for a week or so...but I have been so busy with real estate and accidents. Just in the last week, I have sliced off the side of my thumb slicing onions on Monday morning....and crashed my car twice

I was trying to be organized for dinner, my brother and his wife were stopping through on their way from California to Boston. They live in California [Berkley] in the winter and Boston in the summer and fall.

I was using a mandolin slicer and stupidly did not use the guard and with the first slice I sliced off the side of my thumb. It bled so much I had to wrap it up in tissue and stick it in a plastic bag to go to the ER, of course I had to stop for my cappachino on my way. The guy looked at me and said "Are you okay?" I said "Actually I am on the way to the ER, but I really needed my coffee first"..he said "I know  you are REAL dedicated to your coffee, but WOW"

I asked the doctor if he could just put a few stitches in it to stop all this bleeding and he looked up at me and said "there is nothing there to stitch!"...so he put in something called surgicil and it topped the bleeding and they put a bandage on my thunb the size of my leg and assured me it would look better in a year. yikes!!

So now I know why those little racoons are so good at getting into things... They have THUMBS... I have had to wite two offer this weeks, around 25 pages each and what a trip to try to type or even write with my large appendage in the air.

I also crashed into a light pole backing out of a long driveway showing houses Sunday, and dented not one but two doors on my pretty car. Then yesterday I was backing out of the garage and my husbands car was in the driveway [and he always parks in the garage also] and I sideswiped it, banging up his two doors and my back rear panel....he just put his hands on his head and said "What is wrong with you??" so now my family is calling me Crash....I am afraid to get my car fixed...as I also had an accident in Jan that cost them $2000 to fix and with these two accidents it will be lots more.....I am afraid they will cancel my insurance....oh well I guess I will think about that tomorrow.

I am trying not to do anything this weekend, except I need to get my nails done...and a pedicure...it has been almost a month and my nails are way too long.I am also dealing with a couple of offers and a family birthday party today, so I am hopeful sometime I can read and nap today.....and maybe work out.
