******** Good Morning Linda and all. ******* I learned years ago that our bodies needs to be nekkit to let our skin breathe. LOL true or not... I like to "air bathe" after a shower. It gives my skin a chance to dry after toweling the water off. Since surgery and my skin is drier, my air bath gives the lotions a chance to absorb before getting dressed. B: oatmeal made with soy milk, cheese L: tuna/ crackers, D: BBQ chicken wings, S: homemade yogurt/ fruit

Hi Linda, Since the weather has been warmer , I too, hang out nudie after my bath or shower, I am finding it very hard to keep my eyes open after lunch...really, I have gotten everything under control and organized so get a bit bored. Lots of computer work and that really makes me sleepy. If I could get a 10-15 snooze, I know I'd be refreshed. I go out for a little walk but that hasn't worked. Today I will try to use that sleepy time to maybe visit 1:1 with  my residents, and get to know them better. No changes in food. Yep, I started with this chronic pain going on 4 years ago. It sometimes really p**ses me off! but then I look around and see others with so much more to deal with I just have to be thankful that's all Ideal with right now. You sound a bit better, are you? Take care, and here's a big big hug to you! Cheryl

Hiya Cheryl, chronic pain sucks, it is a wearing down, daily experience. I am resting almost all the time I am not at work, I do sleep, the doctor gave me some elavil, and I had to cut the amount, if it were not for good sleep in my chair, I would not make it. I know we are supposed to always be grateful, and I am. I guess my pain started over the last 3 years, worse after surgery, which sucks too...LOL. The best thing I can do is pray and try to be positive, or I shall defeat myself, wouldn't be the first time...smile. Too bad you can not use part of your lunch time to snooze in the bathroom. I know you do not really eat a lot of carbs, if I am naughty and slip in a cracker, it makes me sleepy as heck. We deserve not to suffer, but I know we must make the most of it. I hope you get some relief soon, and that you stay strong. Hugs!

Hey I vote for nekkit!!!  Feels good and as long as there isn't a mirror near by it's OK!  For the last year are more there hasn't been much nekkit around my house with two adult sons moving back home.  In another couple of weeks I'll have freedom again.  Danny signs papers on his new house Friday.  He wants to do some painting and fixing up before he moves in, so he won't be moving in right away.  GIII has been out for almost 3 months now.  He still stops by every few days, and calls almost every day.  Linda, don't freeze your hiney off with that cold front LOL!  Our highs have been around 85.  B - protein shake S - protein shake L - catfish and baby carrots S - yogurt with granola D - stuffed bell pepper and salad S - cottage cheese or ricotta with almond extract and Splenda (depending on whether I want something sweet or not) HUGS, Debbie

Linda, that could be your new motto: "Nothing tastes as good as nekkit feels". lol I am one who hates to be nekkit. I am just not comfortable in that skin! lol I never have been and since I am going to be 54 in a few days I don't forsee it ever happening. lol Today is a bone density test so there goes my afternoon. Besides the test there is the WAITING and more WAITING. I get so tired of waiting. Osteoporosis runs in my family and I am on the borderline of it. It seems like all the females in my family have it including my sister and my mom had it too. Each year it gets a bit worse. Bill just fixed me breakfast since my blood sugar went down and I felt kind of sick. He is use to that happening since that happened a lot before surgery. B: 1 toast with peanut butter and a banana L: chicken and veggies D: 90% ground beef and veggies S: popcorn maybe I hope that you are feeling better today. You sound like you are in better spirits today. I hope so. Sending you love and hugs and special prayers are going up for you. Have a wonderful day today. BTW, I won at bunco last night. It cost me $10 and I won $15 and a little gardening bag with tools in it. My oh my they gave me the wrong thing. I am not a gardener at all. I should give that to Bill. He is the gardener in this family. lol Bye for now~have a great day and bloom where you are planted.
