Baby free for a few hours! Yeah!
Aloha my OFF family,]
Wow...I actually have a few hours to myself! It's the first time in the week that I've been here. I just took Brock and Brady to their day care "angel" and Shel took the wee one for his first exam.
"Little Z" which he seems to be getting as a nickname is doing great. He's so sweet, soft and darling......we just can't keep out hands off him. Both Brock and Brady have had a cold, so it has been real challenge to keep them away from Little Z......we have quarantine room where Shel keeps him for awhile.
But, last night my son and DIL couldn't resist and we all use hand sanitizer and brought the baby out into the living room with us. It is so HOT here that we just unwrapped the baby and let him stretch on a soft blanket and we got to see him fully...so tiny, such a treasure.
My son and DIL are a little overwhelmed with it all...just moving into a new home one week before baby is born....there is just so much to do. I'm trying to keep up with the little boys...clothes, feeding, jammies, baths, etc....to take some pressure off. I also have to remember to EAT myself because when I was laying in bed last night I felt BONES......really prominent bones in my hips, ribs and collar bone......not good. I forget to eat, but have been pretty good about vitamins, etc.
I'm about two miles from the beach and haven't even been there yet. This afternoon (after a nap) if I'm still kidlet free...I'm going to take a drive ba ck to my old stomping grounds in Santa Cruz.
I wanted to thank you ALL so much for you replies yesterday. I couldn't get to the computer until just now and wanted to respond to everyone, but just don't have the time. Otherwise I would.
I LOVE knowing you are all there.......sharing your lives, helping each other through tough stuff, laughing and kidding, and just being the remarkably wonderul people that you are.
Aloha for now.......I feel better already just for having come in and spent this few minutes with you.....
Aloha nui loa (and I MISS YOU)
Maui Karen
P.S. It's WAY hotter here than Maui!!!!

Karen, I am so happy that you are having a wonderful time with your family. You sound like you are making wonderful memories and that is great. Give all the boys a snuggle for me. That is what they are here for~snuggles. I am so glad that you can check in on us every once in a while. You are missed, darling. Love and hugs to you.
Hi Karen,
So glad you're able to check in with us. Spending time with the family must be a little heaven on earth, even though you're busy, busy. Little Z must be precious, no doubts that he wouldn't be!
Please, please be sure to keep up your eating....can't let that get away from you. I've managed to get back up to 120 since surgery, but am ashamed to say how I've done it...LOL!
Keep having a wonderful time, enjoy your old stompin' grounds, and give baby kisses to those little ones from their "other grannies".
Big hugs,
Susan
Thank you Karen for the update on your 3 boyo's. Okay Tutu, take your toe's down to the water. You have got to be having withdrawls, no sand , no surf, and no ocean for a week or more, Head west dear one, put your tiny body in the sun , take a few deep breaths and thank your luckie stars for your blessings. California welcomes you with open arms, Hugs a bunch, Peg

AND ALL OUR HERO'S
Karen,
I can almost smell the newborn sweetness of Little Z.
Sounds like Tutu is an enormous help with the family but forgetting to take care of herself. Please take time for some R&R. Can't have those bones poking you.
Thank you for sharing this special time with us. I miss hearing from you each day.
Annette
