Hi Sharon.  I took Flinestone Complete a month before surgery and am continuing to do so after. My surgeon and nutritionist have both highly recomended these. They claim they have everything we need. My numbers have been good so I guess they are working!! Good job on getting that avatar pic up. Now we know who we are speaking with. You look good just the way you are! June 17th is just around the corner...wooohooooo!! You are about to make a major change in your life. You will definately be a healthier and happier person. I love WLS!!!!!! Hugs, connie d

Take whatever vitamins seem to work for you. I use a liquid vitamin, as I hated chewables and did not like swallowing large pills multiple times daily. I just had my 2 year labs done, and results are on my profile page, as well as info on the liquid vitamins I use. The labs reflect 7 months of usage of these liquid vitamins, no sub lingual b12, and one 400 IU of D. My D levels have always been on the low side, so I've augmented with an additional D supplement. I use a powdered calcium citrate too, so no pills there either. DAVE

Dave, do you take powdered D supplement? Also, I wanted to let you know that a friend of mine found out this week that Vitamin D helps people avoid falling -- or maybe I can state that more clearly -- some people who fall do better when they take Vitamin D supplements. I've forgotten where to order the powdered calcium -- I remember you ordered it in bulk form -- could you send that website, please? Thanks Marilyn W., Memphis

You can get smaller bottles of NOW powdered calcium citrate online--just put " Now powdered calcium citrate" on google, and you'll find several sites. www.bulkfoods.com has several bulk items they sell, including powdered calcium citrate--one level tsp is 700mg of calcium citrate, but it has no D.  I don't have falling issues or dizzy issues since my pacemaker implant, but I do plan on ordering some powdered D to augment my diet, hopefully increasing my future D levels on blood tests.  I also take a very good affordable brand of liquid vitamins, as noted on my profile page. Sharon, I took Flintstones before my surgery but after surgery I started taking Centrum chewables.  Have you had any labs done yet?  Get a copy of your results.  I track my labs and increase my vitamins according to my lab results.  You will need sublingual B-12, calcium, iron, B vitamins, etc., after surgery.
