Two Year Surgiversary

Well, here it is - two years ago today I had RNY and today I am sitting in my living room recovering from Plastic Surgery/Hernia.  As I reflect upon the last two years I am so overwhelmed that I cannot begin to express what I am feeling in words. But, what a ride!  My blood work is all good... I feel better than I have in 20 years... I wear a size four jeans... I not only excersize regularly, but this past year I became a certified Zumba instructor and now teach Zumba twice a week at the community college...  It's all so surreal I continue to learn new things about myself...about my relationship with food... about lifelong changes and what that really, truly means... and it is humbling. I continue to learns things from all of you.  I can honestly say that I WOULD NOT have been as successful on this journey without this site... and all of you.  Very often I don't comment, but I read the posts every day and I continue to be inspired, humbled and honored by the generosity of spirit of the folks who are willing to share their knowledge... their time, their wows... their struggles... and their recipes... all of which help me so much as I travel on this lifelong and amazing journey.   thank you to all of you who continue to inspire, teach, share, support, encourage me. The PA and OFF posts have been so terrific, I cannot truly express my gratitude. Lou

Happy two year surgiversary!  It's inspiring to read stories from the veterans -- and you have done so very well!  Congratulations and thanks for sharing with all of us.

When I first had my surgery, I searched for those folks who were veterans... really wanting to hear about long term success and I promised myself that I would keep posting as time went on.  We are all in this together... Good luck to you, Lou
