Hi There Its Tuesday and time to start the thread!!!!!
Hi Carla and everyone:
Good to be online again, but that means I'm at work because I still don't have a computer at home. Computer geek is having problems; Windows XP won't let him upgrade; he will have to erase my hard drive and then install, so he e-mailed me and asked me what I wanted to keep. Well, geez, I haven't seen my computer since the second to the last week in March; I don't remember what's on it anymore. I'm trying to tell him things from memory. I'm getting a little perturbed and if he hadn't already bought the stuff, I'd tell him to forget it, I'll save my money and buy a new one sometime in the future. But, again, I wait.
I had a nice relaxing three days off, except for Sunday ... it was relaxing only because I was in so much pain I couldn't move. I had planned to try to do some cleaning (because I no longer can afford the cleaning lady and the place is getting a little dusty and hairy). Well, I was in pain from my shoulders on down. I tried drugs, heat, ice, massage, hot showers, you name it. Nothing really worked. By the evening, I started to feel a little better, but of course, I didn't get any cleaning done. I did laundry and that was it. I couldn't even do my cycling in the dining room ... it hurt my knees too much!
Monday, I went to my therapist, tried to find this shoe repair shop downtown (found it after walking about four blocks out of the way), then found out they don't fix zippers on leather purses. They told me to go to this shop in Cutlerville, which is way out of the way for me, and with gas now $4 a gallon (well, $3.99.9, but you understand ...) don't know if I want to go there. May be cheaper just to buy a new purse. Had lunch at a Mexican restaurant I like, which left me with leftovers, then went to the bankruptcy attorney to refigure my budget. With the new budget, I should get about $50 more a week, about what I need. I have to send them $25 for the filing fee, which I'll send on Thursday when I get paid. I feel so much better about doing this. My bankruptcy will go longer, but I feel it's the right thing to do because of the way prices have gone up.
This morning, I set the alarm to get up for ceramics, but when it went off at 8, I didn't want to get up.But Diva started doing her mad dash around the bedroom, jumping on the bed, then the dresser, then into the blinds to chatter at the birds, then off the window sill, into the living room, back in the bedroom, back on the bed. Sigh! So finally, I got up and went to ceramics. I was glad I did, but I was still tired. After ceramics (I actually finished a piece I started making for my niece and her family for Christmas last year!), I went and had blood drawn for tests that my ortho doc wants. Then went to Walgreens to take back the ThermaCare knee wraps (didn't help, actually made my knee feel worse) and pick up some iron. Had lunch, took an hourlong nap and here I am at work.
Pat, your photo is wonderful! You look great. I'll bet you're going to fit in those jeans I gave you soon.
I missed all of you over the weekend. I want my computer back!
Have a good night.
