Hi Carla and all! Pat your new avatar looks beautiful! You look wonderful!   It is 38 right now will only get to the low 50s today. This weekend they are predicting 80s on the weekend! Finally! But I will believe it when I see it! Husband gets home tonight! Yay! He has had a tough visit with family and will be very happy to get home. I wish I could of gone with him and if he would of had to stay any longer I would of put the ticket on a credit card and jumped right on the plane! Not much new here, work is going well. Wish I could work 4 10s and take Friday off. Two days for the weekend are not long enough! Oh, well. Take Care all, Cheryl

Good Morning Carla and everyone........ Carla I hope you got a few more hours of sleep. Those quick turn around trips can be so hard on our bodies.  Not alot happening here today. I have a quiet work week this week and that is good. Not too much on the road time. My daughter Carrie and Joe have decided to put the wedding off until spring. I am glad. They just have too much going on now with remodeling the house and issues with the kids. It is for the best. I am going down to Iowa to be with Nic this next week for his Chemo. He has asked me to please come down. Of course I said yes. He got so sick last time. If he needs me I am there. The weather just can't seem to warm up enough. It is 55 with a high of 59 today. Last week they said it was supposed to be in the high 60s. They are forever changing their minds.....UGH!! Are we ever going to warm up!! I need to run over to Walmart later...that will be the highlight of my day.....wooohoooooo!!!  Hope everyone is doing well. Prayers to those in need and love and hugs to all........connie d

Nothing new in New Orleans!  Support group last night was so-so.  We have a dietician and a bariactric nurse who lead the meetings.  The dietician is out on maternity leave.  She's a very quiet person who hardly ever has a word to say; the nurse is a BIG talker (I think she likes to hear herself), so they make a perfect pair.  The meeting started at 6:30, ended at 8:00, the nurse talked about vitamins and minerals, her upcoming vacation, her wls surgery back in 1999, and her birthday, almost the entire time.  Finally a few minutes before 8:00 she asked if there were any questions.  She's nice enough and informative, but golly.  There were a few recent post-ops who I believe had questions, but after an hour and a half, everybody was ready to go home. Tonight is our civic association meeting.  Hope it doesn't last too long.  Tonight the Hornets vs Spurs! Have a great day! Debbie

Hi Debbie,

Maybe it would be of service, if it was suggested that she leave at least 45 minutes to questions from the group. . . Hope you have a good day too!  Laureen

Thanks for the input Laureen.  We've tried raising our hands to ask questions - like grammar school kids - she just keeps on yacking.  Maybe if someone (Oh God, possibly me  ) would request more time for questions and answers, it might work. Debbie

Hi Carla and Everyone, Busy times at work for me.  That is very good as it's making the month of May fly by!  I have to call today and see if I need a new EKG for surgery.  It must be within 90 days so I'll check.  I also have to call the hospital and see about pre-registration as well. Got a visit from my son and grandson last night.  My grandson loved the fact that Gramma can make peanut butter sandwiches just like his mom does.  He was a happy camper.  LOL That's about all that's going on with me.  Take care and enjoy the day. Hi Carla and Everyone! Nice to see all your sun shiny faces and I just wanted to stop by and say hello, nothing too much going on here, but the weather sure is nicer today than yesterday, hope it warms up some, I hate when we go from 40s to 80s, no chance to adjust, but then again, perhaps this year since I have so much less insulation, the warmer weather will be more tolerable. . .  time shall tell. Prayers, postive thoughts and hugs to all, Laureen

Hi All- I love your new avatar Pat! I need to change mine badly, but I am having trouble. I have pictures but they are too "pixelly"... (my new word!). I'm off to San Francisco again to day- more mammograms. I'm crossing my fingers, but ready for anything. I have a room in a nice Japanese hotel and I'm looking forward to a relaxing stay. This will be my last chance for total quiet as the last two weeks of school are at hand. We have lots of teachers and specialists retiring too, and since I am one of the "oldies" I know them all! So I am in there making photo albums, practicing songs and planning retirement parties! It's fun and creative (my specialty) but hectic when you fit it all in with end of the year school duties. In two weeks I'll be sleeping in and reveling in my little summer break (one week). Then I'll be back to work but at a reduced pace. Our summer is here- they are predicting 100 degrees by Friday.  Julia

Hey Julia:
I have Jan S. do my avatar - she's so tech savy - not me!
Bet she'd be glad to do yours too.

My piano students are winding down too.....this is our last week for lessons with our recital on Sunday the 18th. I think one of them wants to take this summer, and if so, it will be early in the morning instead of the afternoon. The rest of them want the summer off....which is just great with me! Thinking this next year will be my last to teach.

Will say a prayer for you and your tests.

Hugs,
Pat
