Well Tuesday is here and It is supposed to be a hot one here in Florida the Gulf Side or the left side as they say. It is another work day for me. That is ok by me!!!!! I am still winding down from my quick trip to Chicago. I hate doing those turn around trips. Well it is 0244am and I think Ill go back to bed for a short time before I have to get up at 7am in time to get to work by 9. But Strbucks is calling my name at 0820 though. I always stop there before I hit the door at work. Carla who is saying talk on!!!!!!!

Carla I am getting up just as you are going to bed. Send some of the warm weather North? It is so cold, 39 degrees at the moment. When the day begins so early, the eating schedule gets out of whack. It's really too early to have breakfast but I  get hungry long before the usual 8AM breakfast time. So, I'll sit, have some coffee and eat a bit later.  My latest craft project has been painting flower pots. This involves extra prepping of the pots before and after painting or the paint washes off when wet.  Learned that fact the hard way.  Most of the furbrats have settled down as I work in the new craft room. Jimmy still tried to drink my brush water. He is persistant, but so am I. Scoot away Jimmy! Annie is getting better, for Annie that is. She basks under a lamp to get warm for a few minutes then hops from my paint table, to the blinds, then tries to get into the drawers. She loves to chew on my brushes. Some of them were expensive so I made a container of cheap, seldom used brushes just for her. She wasn't fooled, she preferes the $$ brushes best. What a brat. Last night was my lap-band group. They are my fun group. After a year of leading the RNY and lap-band groups, I have noticed is that they have very similar problems and successes. Just with slightly different twists. The lap-band group usually loses at a slower rate, but the end result is WEIGHT LOSS. No two people can eat the same foods, that holds true in both groups. They all offer support and suggestions to each other. I have learned that each surgery is best for the individual person and it is a very personal decision. Not ONE person has regretted their choice of surgical procedure or having WLS in general. Annette

Morning all, Just taking a quick second to stop in and say Hello.  Work is absolutely killing me lately.  I don't know which end is up. Saturday I ran a 5K.  The course had so many hills, one with a Caution: Steep Grade sign.  I ran this same race last year and actually improved my time by 1 minute.  Not bad considering I haven't been running at all.  I finished it this time in 31 minutes.  Then in the afternoon Brenda and I met a co-worker to walk another couple miles.  We walked about 3 miles last night.  My legs are sure feeling all this exercise too. My eating habits have gone from bad to worse.  I can remember when I was having trouble stopping my weight loss.  Not a problem anymore.  I'm starting to put on pounds and I don't like it.  I need to get back on track like so many of you have done. Well, work calls.  Hope everyone has a great day.  Miss talking with you all on a daily basis. Floyd

Good Morning all --- good to hear from you Floyd....we know you're there but miss having you post. Congrats on the 5K run.....maybe one day I'll be able to do that!

The sun is shining brightly here this morning and it's supposed to get into the 70's....just today only.....tomorrow rain and cooler yet again.

Have an appt. with PCP this afternoon. I will be interested to see how my blood work on the thyroid turned out....I am positive it will be LOW...just don't have the energy I had when I was on the regular thyroid. Keep your fingers crossed for me...maybe I can get some of my blood pressure meds reduced or stopped too.

Had a nice visit with my GF in Goshen, Ind. yesterday for her birthday. She loved the cross-stitch I did for her. We went to a little restaurant called "The Pie Pantry"....had a sandwich made with smoked chicken salad that was good, took most of the bread off tho'. Had a small cup of cream of broccoli soup that was too thin, so didn't eat much of it.
Yes, they had all kinds of pie, but I didn't eat any. Got a fat free muffin that wasn't too good either - threw 1/2 of it away.

Thanks Jan S. for putting on my new avatar. Pic was taken yesterday at work!

Have a blessed day ladies and gents,
Huggers,
Pat

Congrats on the new time in your 5K, I'm doing my first 5K on July 4th with a bunch of folks from my local WLS  support group and the PA board of OH, of course, for me it will be a walk, but perhaps next year I will run!  Anyway, sounds like the stress of your job might be causing you to eat, but I'm no expert, just good that you realize you need to do something about it before it totally overtakes you! Take care and good luck with all that you have going on!  Laureen
