OT: Gov'mt Stimulus Checks

My Stimulus payment from the US Gov'mt appeared in my checking account today - YEAH !!!!! Of course, it's already spent - DH tripped on the RR tracks a couple of weeks a go & chipped his two front teeth - Crowns are expensive for sure! Have you rec'd your payment yet? Will you spend it or save it? If you'll spend it, care to share???? If any of you do not have to file a 2007 tax return (limited income), remember - you may still be eligible for a stimulus check if you have a total of $3,000 or more in qualifying income (Soc Sec Benefits, veterans benefits, earned income). If you were not required to file a tax return for 2007, you can still file a limited form 1040A by Oct 15, 2008 in order to be eligible for the stimulus check. file with the railroad, tell them there was trash around the tracks, they are responsible to keep it clean for a certain distance.... My husband is railroad...my social security comes from RR Retirement. Go get em.

Nope, Not yet. Since we are both retired we get the lesser amount , correct? We have plans for our stimulus check. I t will be going back out into the economy, Sorry your honey got hurt. Peg

We only got $600 - I did work for a couple of months, but most of our income was SSI & our tax was $0, so I'm not complaining!

I got mine on Tuesday; paid to get my phone reconnected, bought groceries, paid for expensive prescriptions (nearly $100), paid some other bills, it's all gone, and I'm looking for more. Oh, yes, I did put some in my gas tank. So OPEC got its share, too.
