I Got A New Date

I am pretty excited this evening!  This afternoon when I came home from several appointments, I found a message from Stanford's Bariatric Department asking if I'd mind my surgery being moved up to June 2?  I was so ecstatic, I immediately returned the call and said YES! Marti in San Jose 

always nice to get moved ahead!!congrats!

Aloha Marti....and CONGRATULATIONS....I am so happy for you. Your adventure begins very very soon. Your life will change like you never dreamed.

I was thinking of you today because you asked me what hospital my grandbaby is being born in, and my DIL called today and told me it's Stanford! I thought so, but wasn't positive. She will be induced Monday and hopefully everything will happen smoothly.

We will be here cheering you on and I can't tell you how happy I am for you.

Marti, that is fantastic news. That means that the ride of your life is going to begin even sooner. Hang on because this is a wild ride!!! My prayers are with you for a good surgery and a painless and speedy recovery. I am sending love and big hugs to you.

Brenda, Thank you so much for your kind note!  I never expected the call so that's what makes it so nice at the end of a difficult day!  I have been exercising all along so my hopes are that will make my recovery easier.  Hugs are always welcome!   Marti  

How exciting for you Marti! We're going to get to be surgery buddies!  You start on June 2 and I'll follow on June 5.  You'll be getting out of the hospital as I'm getting there.... but it's different hospitals...  same state but different cities. Not unthoughtful at all, Marti! I just noticed we both are in California.  I'm in Southern California so we're not very close unfortunately.   Excitement just doesn't decribe the joy I feel to finally be getting started here!  I think of this in a timeframe of the next 6 months and then where I will be..........  I think it's my way of looking past the toughest part of this and on to the future.
