Oh Kathi! My heart is overflowing with joy for you! I too spent a year hanging out on the forum before having surgery. I think it helped me to be as prepared as possible.  What a wonderful way to stay summer! Hugs,

Karen C

Thank you so much, Karen! Your support knowing you waited a year for this did help me to know that the reward would come.  I remember very well.  You're right -- it's going to be a GREAT summer for me.  I don't really like summer all that much but this might just change all that!  I can't wait to feel cold..... Hugs, Kathi

Oh, Kathi, I missed this thread this morning for some reason I was being told to come back here. I found this!!! I am so happy for you there is tears in my eyes for you and your happiness. I am a firm believer that if God brings you to it He will get you through it and this is proof of that. Things happen in His time and not ours. For some reason you had to go through this whole process and what different does it make since you are now at the end and it is what you worked so hard for. Persistance pays off and you are proof. This whole happy time is yours to cherish and remember. The new and exciting life that you are about to embark on is going to one of the most wonderful things that have ever happend to you. You are going to begin to see things so much differently. You are going to have different feelings toward people and even your family since your feelings about yourself are going to be different. They are all so much  better and happier feelings too. This whole thing couldn't have happened to a more sweeter and deserving person than you, Kathi. You are in my prayers and may God continue to bless you as you bless us, your OFF family.  I know that the whole thing is meant to be since the dates of your membership and the surgery are the same. Besides that is my Bill's birthday too.  I am sending you big HUGS and lots of sister love.

A great big thank you to you, Brenda! What a wonderful message you shared with me today.  My heart is truly full.  I am blessed and I know that The Lord has brought me this path for a reason.  I'm not sure I would have been as committed to this had I not had the endure this past year.....

You are very right that I cherish this experience and my new future!  I am anxious to see what is in store for me the next months and months.  I and so grateful for a wonderful family and feel privileged -- truly privileged -- to have so many wonderful cyber-friends to share my joy.

You've made my day!

I will go to the hospital that day and think of first -- My Bill -- and then wish a Very Happy Birthday to your Bill....  I should come home from the hospital on Monday, June 9, and that will be our 35th Wedding Anniversary.  I told my Bill I couldn't think of a nice gift than WLS.

Hugs,

Kathi

Kathi, I just read your message to me. I found it funny that your's and  Bill's anniversary is the 9th of June. My Bill's and my anniversary is June 11th. We will be married 20 years after knowing each other less than a week when we married. But for the grace of God.................
