Good morning my Angel Linda.  Today's menu is; cup-o-ambition, then some protein shake (20 gms) B-2 oz Fage 0% yogurt. S- Protein drink (21 gms) L- 2 oz dreamgirls spinach quiche. S- protein drink (21 gms) D- going to Mimi's tonight for dinner and am going to order filet of sole and mashed potatos.  I wil have a little of each and take the rest home.  I love filet of sole. What's eating me today is, I know it sounds crazy, and I know I've seen it posted on other boards, but I have this free floating anxiety about, I don't think this surgery is going to work for me. It will work for eveybody else, but, somehow, not for me. I have always thought of myself as a rational person, and I'm doing everything to the letter,(except the exercise part is lacking a bit) so where does this come from?    I don't know.

Linda, I too am a creature of habit.  And a control freak.  And a perfectionist.  I struggle with those things all the time. Well, as instructed by my nutritionist, I did a week of protein-before-exercise, and it made absolutely no difference to my weight loss.  And, I was MORE tired after my workouts.  I posted about it on the exercise forum and 3 people suggested that protein AND carbs are needed before workouts, plus protein afterwards.  My problem is that I work out in the a.m. (cannot get motivated to do it later in the day), and basically the only thing I can get down in the a.m. is oatmeal.  Can't eat eggs, bacon or sausage anymore, and other forms of protein (like chicken, beef, pork, ham etc.) do NOT appeal to me in the a.m.  Maybe I'll try having a cheese stick like you do. B:  1 packet weight control oatmeal made w/ 2/3 c. skim milk S:  1/2 c. butterscotch cottage cheese pudding L:  2 oz. chicken, 1/4 c. quinoa with spinach and feta cheese S:  1/2 c. Mandarin cottage cheese D:  2 oz. scallops, 1/4 c. barley-black bean-butternut salad S:  4 oz. SF pudding Jean

Hello Linda, It's already late afternoon and I'm just getting to the computer. Feeling down and yucky today. I don't know if I caught a "bug" from the tots or what's going on. I stopped and had my BP read, it's running kind of low. No appetite and very dizzy, a tipsy feeling without any alcohol. Back to bed for this old broad. Housework and laundry can wait. Annette
