I've gained SIX pounds. I'm not a happy camper.
Today I figured I'd start the five day thing...
I had coffee... okay, some cream.
I had a 45 g protein bullet
I had a Muscle Milk 21 g protein
I had a cup of soup (veg beef) in the cafeteria because I was doubling over and nothing else was working.
I had a small can of potted meat.
Blew it, huh?

Jan, I think one of the problems is I just don't eat enough at one time to get full. But it appears that I can eat about a cup and a half... and maybe more. I'm not measuring...but I can sure pack it in. I'm going back on my anti-depressants and hopefully that will help this if it's stress eating. Better by gone in a gif...:) Janet

The five day thingy is foreign to me but ... I'd be hungry and sneaking the cat food if I followed your menu. You didn't blow it at all, you needed FOOD!!
I can't exist on 3 meals a day and my dietician agrees. 3 meals won't give me enough protein and I tend to get ditsy. Instead I have a feeding about 5 - 6 times a day. Notice I said feeding, not a meal?
It is always a protein and a good carb, eating protein first. For example, mid morning I'll grab an apple dipped in melted peanut butter. Late afternoon 1/2 orange and a cheese stick. Same for evening. The so called meals are my protein and a veggie. During the day I drink coffee with no sugar creamer plus water and Crystal Light. Boring, stuck in my box, yuppers.
Go ahead and try that pouch test thing. Many folks swear by it. I just don't want to torture myself thinking about what I need to eat next anymore.
It doesn't sound like just stress eating to me, instead it sounds like you are HUNGRY.
I am certainly no authority so my suggestions may not work for you.

NOT SURE WHAT TO TELL YA JANET...ARE YOU DRINKING THE PROTEIN DRINKS TO FAST??? I FOUND SIPPING THEM HELPED ME STAY FULL LONGER...ITS HARD TO GO BACK TO LIQUID PROTEINS AFTER GETTING TO EAT REAL FOODS....BUT AFTER THE SECOND DAY IT DOES GET BETTER....TRY CHEWING GUM THAT ALSO HELPED ME STAY AWAY FROM REAL FOOD!!!HELMET
Are you drinking enough water? Just a suggestion ... sometimes that helps. I know I get frustrated when I see the weight gain. Could some meds be putting on weight? Man, I stepped on the scale this week and had put on seven pounds in a week. I'm sure it's water weight, and started back on the water pill (I can see the knee is swollen). But one side effect of the nerve pill (neurotonin) is weight gain (damn, I hate that side effect). However, a side effect of Topamax (a migraine preventive) is weight loss ... that should cancel the other one out, shouldn't it?
