what's new wednesday?

Morning Margo and my OFF friends, Hey Margo, you're lucky your mower man hasn't raised his prices to pay for the gas!  Gary has decided to do the mowing himself now that he's lost weight, and save the $$ we paid our guy the last two summers. We don't have all that much to do, so an electric mower does the trick for us. Today is a really busy day for me, probably 11 hours or so, but I'll do well in the money dept, so that's good.  Yesterday I turned to get my purse off of the passenger's seat and pulled something around my incision line. Hurts like hell, actually, it's been a sore spot for a week now, but I've been trying to ignore it. So, called the Dr's office and spoke to his nurse. She thinks it's a muscle thing, put me on an anti-inflamitory for a short term to see what goes. I'll call her tomorrow morning and go in if it doesn't get better today. Hi Margo, I get my flaxseed bread at Walmart of all places. I slice it myself so I can make thin slices which toast better and go down and stay down better than doughy big slices. It's about 2.75 and really tasty. I'm eating some right now! Have a good day at your new job! Cheryl

I've not talked to Pam since I called her a week or so ago, also please remember Sharon A in our thoughts also as she is basically going thru same thing with a family member, she was first to get box #2....Poor ladies having all this grief....

Hi Margo and everyone: It was such a dark and rainy morning I really slept late. I had planned to get up at 10 and do my shopping since tomorrow is the annual squish the boobs day ... the day they turn your C cups (or D cups or whatever yours are) into teacups, as one mammogram tech told me once. Anyway, I got up sometime early in the morning to go to the bathroom, went back to bed, then the next time I got up it was almost 11. Yikes! Didn't plan to sleep that long. And then, of course, Scooter wanted to snuggle for awhile; Diva was running all over the house and Nettie had to chase her. Eventually, I got up and had to scream at AT&T. See, yesterday they were supposed to reconnect me within four hours of my payment. Well, I got home last night and I still wasn't connected, but of course, they couldn't do anything about that. So I had to rip them a new one, so to speak. I got a bunch of apologies from the poor customer service guy, plus a refund of the reconnection charge of $30. It pays to complain! The next thing it paid to complain about was the fact that the Meijer Starbucks in Grandville only had house blend again, because their other coffee maker was broke. So the barista made me a french press espresso roast and didn't charge me extra; in fact, she only charged me $1.20 for a grande. It was my day for discounts, it seems. Anyway, finished up at Meijer, went to D&W, Walgreen for a prescription, then home for lunch. Oh, Weigh****chers' Smart Ones' new fruit sensations are pretty good ... the Orange Sesame Chicken is excellent. I usually don't like these, but I bought them because they were on sale, and it was very tasty.  Had a headache on and off most of the morning, so after lunch, I took a good nap; that and the Imitrex helped a lot. We have a review tonight, but it's of the Backyardigans, a children's show, so it shouldn't be too late. In fact, we just got the story in, so it definitely won't be late.  Margo, I'm glad things are going well on your new job; the first week is the toughest as you get used to things.

Has everyone heard from their secret pal? I still haven't heard from mine. Maybe she's busy. I'm just curious.

Stopped at the health store on the way into work and got some AchievOnes and also a couple other protein drinks to sample to see if I like. These don't have caffeine in them, but the protein/carb/calorie count looks good. One is Cookies and Cream and the other is chocolate. We'll see if I like them. I have an order for cappucino two cases of AchievOnes, just waiting for them to come in.

Sleepy tonight; hope it's a light night. I think the weather is bothering me all around. Have a good day everyone.

 

Morning... I am better but still feeling yucky. I think another day of rest is in order. I finally spoke to my pulminologist. She told me to stop the cpap for a few days to give my nose a chance to heal. I am also taking sudafed and using a saline spray. She thinks this is all allergy related and the cpap didn't help.

I ended up cancelling my appointment with my kidney specialist. I just didn't feel up to running around town to visit doctors. I am still supposed to see my surgeoen this afternoon. I had the wrong day. I guess that was a good thing as I was going to cancel that appointment as well. I am counting on feeling much better by 4:30 this afternoon so I can make this appointment. I am afraid to see him though since I stopped losing eons ago and I suspect I have actually put on a few pounds. Of course, I may just be feeling poofy as opposed to actually having gained weight.  Have a great Wednesday everyone!

I started waking up at 2 am and finally got up at 5:30 I could have slept in till 7 am that makes me so mad.   I like my sleep. We had thunderstorms so I imagine that is why my sleep kept getting interrupted. Not much news going on here.  I bought a DVD from here to start exercising and it came in the mail yesterday.  Glad I didn't pay more to have it shipped faster it only took a couple days to get her by regular mail.   Now all I have to do is get motivated to open it. A friend of mine died Sunday she was 47 she had ovarian cancer her funeral is tomorrow so it has been a sad few days around here.

barb; i'm very sorry to hear of your friends' passing..47 is too young.....my bestgf shirley has ovarian cancer-and has shut me out of her life...i miss her horribly.

WELL YESTERDAY I TOLD MY BOSS I HAD THE JOB INTERVIEW IN OHIO SATURDAY. SHE SAID OK AND WISHED ME GOOD LUCK....SHE HATES TO LOSE ME BUT UNDERSTANDS THAT I HAVE TO MOVE ON WITH MY LIFE. TOLD HER I DIDN'T HAVE THE JOB YET AND SO FAR I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE....GOT MY DIVORCE PAPERS RECORDED AND TURNED IN WITH GARYS LAWYER....THE WAITING BEGINS......TALKED WITH LORI ABOUT ME AND MY JOB INTERVIEW AND THAT IF I GOT THE JOB I WAS OUT OF HERE BY END OF THE MONTH....SHE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HOUSE BILLS BECAUSE I WAS DONE....SHE SAID HER DAD COULDN'T MOVE BACK IN HERE ALONE...HE HAS MORE BAD DAYS NOW THAN GOOD IT SEEMS....I TOLD HER TO SELL IT I DIDN'T CARE.....BUT IF I GOT THE JOB IN OHIO I WAS TAKING SOME FURNITURE TO GET STARTED IN A NEW PLACE...SHE SAID NO PROBLEM. TALKED WITH RICK LAST NIGHT AND TOLD HIM ALL THIS...HE SAID SEEING AS HE IS OFF WORK NOW BECAUSE OF HIS LEG HE WAS THINKING OF COMING ABCK TO MICHIGAN WITH ME AND IF I GOT THE JOB IN OHIO HE WOULD BE HERE TO HELP ME PACK AND DRIVE THE UHAUL BACK TO OHIO. SOUNDS GREAT!!!!

RICK'S DAUGHTER NICOLE HAD DR APPOINTMENT YESTERDAY AND HE FINALLY GOT TO SEE HIS GRANDSON!!!!! I ASKED HIM HOW THAT WENT....HE SAID IT WAS DIFFERENT....THE BABY WAS CUTE...SAID HE WAS WORRIED ABOUT HIM BECAUSE HE WAS GOING TO HAVE A HARD LIFE GROWING UP....SEEMS HIS (BABYS) GRANDPARENTS ON THE FATHERS SIDE ARE PILL POPPERS AND POT SMOKERS....NOT GOOD AT ALL!!! I TOLD RICK THAT THINGS MIGHT CHANGE WHEN I GET THERE AND THEN WE WOULD HAVE A BETTER CHANCE AT TAKING CARE OF THE BABY WHEN NICOLE NEEDED SOMEONE TO WATCH HIM SO HE WOULDN'T BE IN THAT AWFUL PREDICAMENT WITH HIS GRANDPARENTS AND THIER BAD WAYS!!! HE SAID THATS TRUE BUT HE WASN'T SURE HOW ITS GOING TO WORK OUT....BUT HE WILL KEEP EYE ON HIM FOR SURE....AHHH HE IS GOING TO MAKE IT AS A GRANDPA AFTER ALL!!!!  I GET TO SEE ANTHONY SATURDAY AFTER MY JOB INTERVIEW!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! AND YES I AM TAKING MY CAMERA FOR SURE!!! ITS ALREADY IN MY SUITCASE READY TO GO!!!!!!!
