Good Morning Karen and everyone........ It is a beautiful morning here too. The temp is only 42 but a promise of 63 later today. Finally a day of warmer weather!!! Like I said I took the day for me yesterday and didn't do much of anything. Watched some movies, did some reading and rested. What a treat that was!! My ex stopped over for a little while but that was okay. We chatted for about an hour and then I told him I had things to do so he left. A friend is coming over today to grill some steaks. That will be nice...YUMO!!! Not much else planned for today. Hope everyone has a blessed and fun filled day!! Love and Hugs, connie d

Aloha and good morning OFF family,

Karen....You DO have a full plate these days, don't you. I think you probably thrive on having a rich, full life.....and if nothing was going on, you would create adventure for yourself. I've been way too busy lately....and I don't like it!! I have become a royal SLUG and come running back to my quiet, peaceful lanai, and ocean to unwind. My trip to Calif. is going to be crazy, wild compared to my life on Maui!!

I spoke to my son Mark last night, and they are all moved into their new house...at least all their stuff is there and they slept there for the first time Friday night. I'm glad they got that part finished before the newest little bundle arrives. He asked me if I would help him find something in sterling silver with three 'somethings' that could be engraved with the three babies names. Well, ironically, I already have bought a sterling silver necklace for my DIL's birthday with three little interconnected hearts! My son goes "Wow, mom, you and I always think alike!" So, I went yesterday to Sears, K-Mart and WalMart trying to find something but just did NOT find anything appropriate. I may go try again today, but I may just end up giving him my three heart necklace to give to her, and get something else from me.

This morning I woke at 3:00 a.m. and was packing in my mind! I get antsy when it gets close to trip time....and the ants in the pants are setting in!! I just dragged a silk plant into the shower and hosed it off because it was bugging me that it was dusty. I'm doing crazy things........and taking things OUT of my suitcase and putting other stuff IN that I think I may need. I'm so worried about freezing....and will probably take too many warm clothes and it will get hot there....oh well!

I'm rambling.....so I'll quite and go do more chores that I make for myself....Ha! Happy Sunday everyone........and here comes a virtual hug!!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

It's sunny here in southwestern Michigan, but on the cool side. Think it was in the high 30's when I went to church at 8 a.m., I know I needed my spring coat! After my church was over, I went out and attended the 9:30 service where my son and DIL go (Dan plays in the Praise & Worship Band).....I hadn't seen him all week and he came and sat with me during the sermon, so at least we were close. They have a nice church and their pastor is a really good preacher, so I always enjoy going there. Came home and had a bite of lunch and worked on the cross stitch project that MUST get done this week.....I am at the back stitching part of it, so that goes pretty fast.

I've had my hummingbird feeder up for two weeks and no sign of the little beauties until last evening when one showed up. So I took the feeder down this morning and washed it and replaced the nectar with fresh so they should be around today. I just love watching them from my recliner.

It's going to be a busy week - blood work on Tuesday morning, appts for eyebrow wax and hair cut both this week and Friday is our Spring Salad Luncheon at church.
I am making Chinese Slaw and also will be the cashier. besides my regular pt job and winding down toward our recital with the piano students. Think the kids will have me out to their place for Mother's Day, as I requested steaks on the grill.

Think I'll take a nap.....book club tonite, we read "Atonement" for this month. I also saw the DVD of it. It was a good book once you got into it.

Have a blessed week all....

Pat
