Hi Melody, It was so good to see your smiling face when I signed on.  This post WLS life is such full of unexpected curves isn't it? Just when we think we have the way "down" there's a detour. I find however, that each detour usually reveals something new to learn.  I was cautioned early on to not make any rash decisions, that relationships often evolve with this process of finding ourselves. I had hidden so many emotions under the layers of fat. It's been like the layer by layer process of peeling an onion! Sometimes that stinky too! I have fond memories of our brief time in San Diego. I'd love to try kayaking. Maybe this summer. I have a friend who has offered to teach me when we visit another friend at Lake Chelan. It would be a wonderful place to learn. Hugs, Karen C PS Check out the last pics on my profile. Babies and puppies, all little girls. I am blessed!

Melody, It is good to see your smiling face. The changes after WLS are Good, Bad, Ugly and Wonderful. As we shed the layers of fat, more than just bones seem to surface. Hang in there and don't be a stranger. You have been missed. Annette

Aloha my beautiful friend....who is missed!!

I can only imagine what you have been going through. Sounds like your weight was your comfort is some way, and now that that is gone, you are looking at who you really are. That's a tall order for all of us....and some of us have to work harder than others to figure out how to live in this new body.

Your beauty goes deep inside, Melody.......and you have all that it takes to blossom and thrive. I believe in you.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
