OT; for disussion-names

Hi Margo, Good topic.  I would change my name......  I was always in trouble in school because I wouldn't tell the teacher my real name.  They insisted that Kathi must be short for Kathleen or Kathryn.  It wasn't.  My mother thought she was doing a good thing in naming me only Kathi.  I always felt slighted.  Stupid I know but feeling all the same.  I contemplated being a K-Ann and Kate and Kat......  never caught on so I'm Kathi. I don't know what I would want my name to be if I had the chance........  I'll have to think about that one! My cousing DID decide to change her name oh so many years ago..... Her parents named her LeeAnn and all of a sudden kids from school were calling the house and asking for Wendy.  She was so determined to be Wendy, they went to court and legally changed her name to Wendy LeeAnn.  Eventually she went back to being LeeAnn. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!  I like your name of Margo by the way..... Kathi

when first hubby (danny)and i were naming kids- first born son i named- jason  cuz i liked it (evidently so did gazillions of other ppl)  nicholas  after his great grandfather--daughter was robyn cuz danny liked it and elaine after danny's sister who had passed away...so youngest son-danny decides he shouldof named one daniel after self but doesn't want a junior (daniel james) so daniel christopher is named! we always called him chris--so he goes to school-second grade he comes home first day -"my name is daniel"-- seems teacher gave him very diff time (as yours did!) and so he went thru school as dan and home as chris--when gf's started calling for dan we had problems!!!!!! same daniel christopher named his son aidan (--see the "dan"???) james and his daughter is alaina (after elaine) jo ...his wife is jenny jo--and so both kids have ajk initials-uck!!!! what we do to our kids! kathi you will always be kathikins to roxie and me!!!!
