OT: for the LADIES!
So, my $600 incentive money came today, did I spend it wisely? did I pay off a bill or two? apply towards credit card? NOPE!
Well, actually I will do some of all of that but I spent some $$ at Dillards today buying SPANX and Cabernet (their brand) of "garments". Remember girdles? well, these aren't quite like them. I have gained about 15lbs back, My docs say I look better now-healthier and not to pay attention to the fact that I am now at 170 from a low of 155. (well, yeah, compared to 320, anything looks and feels better) BUT I have noticed my "midriff" area pouching out more especially since the surgery a month ago. Hmmm not happy with tucking in things now. Plus I bought a size 12 skirt thinkin NO PROBLEM with out trying it on.....uh, Houston, we have a problem! So I decide to look at these things. Cabernet is by far cheaper and I actually got a body one mid thigh to and including a bra! AND its an underwire! got another one that hooks in the crotch. Not the easiest thing to do but of course MUCH easier now, also got one that has straps that fit over your bra this is the spanx one and goes from mid thigh to bra line. So, I try it out.....AND LIKE WOW the bulge is gone! It even helped with the panni! Tomorrow night for the Paw Hoorah I will try it again and see how it goes under this neat dress my mother gave me.......Of course I could really use one that sucks in the whole body, sharpei thighs, jiggly calves and oh lets not forget the flapping arms, but my belly looks better anyway!
So that's my big news for the day, week, month (oh wait, its only May 2 right? LOL) Took My son and his GF to PF Changs tonight, nice Chinese chain and food was great! We then walked up to Barnes and Noble and what a mistake that was for me, I can always find something to buy in a bookstore! THEN I stopped and partially filled up my gas tank. excitement almost makes the heart beat faster right? WOW what a life.. get excited about UNDIES!
Work has been a BIT muCH this week, plus trying to get yard in shape with all the flower beds, which I love but once it gets hot I don't do them, so try to get them in good shape now. I tried to do a few sit ups today (first time since surgery) and boy did I feel his work in there! Oh well, I know (hope) he fixed me up although I did have a spot of pain this week again.......like it was before the surgery. HMMMM. Oh well, you all have a great weekend! TGIF!!!!!!

320 highest, 302 consultation, 289 surgery. Total weight loss:165lbs.
Good for you for spending it on you! I have to use mine for bills and living expenses (maybe I'll get a few goodies).
I like your doc's attitude about the weight ... unlike the stupid health management company nurse's attitude toward my BMI of 30. She said it was "overweight" and risky. I said it was far worse when it was 60, and besides, I was probably never going to be normal. What's in a number, anyway? I'm healthier, you're healthier.
Enjoy the rebate ... and if you're looking to spend it on anything else, remember me.
Debbie,
BIT muCH - love it!!!
It doesn't take much to get us all excited, I agree. After years of wearing the granny bloomers and sensible whites, undies that remove bumps and lumps is worth smiling about.
You made me smile and feel warm and fuzzy this morning. Great way to start my day. Wish you were here.
