Good morning everyone. I hope that today is treating all of my OFF family good. So far so good here in Indiana.  The sun is shinning and it is beatiful but cold. At least it is cold to me. I am sitting here freezing. Bill told me that it is chilly out but not realy cold~at least not as cold as I think it is. All I can say is that at least the sun is shinning. That is a good thing. So far I don't have any plans today. Just laundry. Oh!!!! I hate laundry but then again if that wasn't done we sure would be up a creek.  Not sure what the rest of the day is going to bring. I would rather have plans but that doesn't always happen around here. I am hoping that it is just going to be a day for us but somethings seems to tell me that it is going to include other people.  I had a chat with Bill last night. He said that he was thinking of going fishing with our nephew and that was going to be an all day thing. I told him that I am tired of getting none of his attention. That he would rather spend time with either Shawn or David and I get none of his time. I also told him that if people don't get attention from the people in their life they go and get attention from others and I am sure that he got my drift there. lol He said that David doesn't get that much attention and I told him that I have been waiting 20 YEARS for attention from him. Now he is talking about us going fishing together. I told him that we use to do that and we had fun. So I think he got the message that I was working on getting across to him. At least I sure hope so. I am glad that we had that talk. Now if only he remembers it. He tends to forget the things that I say to him and remembers the things that he told by others. Mostly son and nephews. If you get my drift there.  I better get going. I am going to be eating breakfast in a bit. I am getting hungry. I hope that you all have a great and blessed day today. Enjoy where you are and the day will be great. I am sending prayers for all and special ones for those who need them. Love and hugs are sent to all my wonderful OFF family. Will meet with you all later on today.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

good rainy dreary morning! after my nap on the couch i had a very difficult time getting to sleep last nite-was almost 245 when i shut my eyes for the last time and then roxie was a fidget butt all night long-she was sleeping almost in my face and she was fidgety--we got up at 830 am and we did our potty rituals-then spent some time trying to find a specific Rev War Patriot's service record- computers are great but limited to what is available! i am thinking today would be an awesome day to stay in jammies all day--what am i saying? i did that yesterday! when i went to get the mail both days i simply slipped my jeans up over my jammies and put on a flannel shirt and some flipflops--can we say lazy???!!!! monday morning i start my new job--yippeeeee!!!! so i probly should think about finding my birth certificate since my soc sec card is wayyyy lost..... all of you who talk about rearranging rooms- wow--i really want to use my (little ) middle bedroom as an office but i would have to empty it fully to try to do that--and right now that would mean cleaning-seriously-about 4 other rooms first-nope! too lazy here!!! and if i did use that room as an office; it would make sense to move the computer in there but michael won't have it-he likes it out here in the kitchen where we can talk while watching tv or cooking -etc--sooooo--someday when i rule the world...... do you dream? do you repeat dreams??maybe with different "players" but the same locations??i have found mine to be like that the last few nights....odd things! my son called yesterday to wish us a safe trip to wisconsin--problem is we aren't going til end of may-memorial day weekend is the plan--long weekend off work so i have that driving day( 8 hours one way!ouch!!!)  there! really hate to spend the gas money but feel it is important in the scheme of michael's life with his brother having been so sick.we'll leave friday at noon and have to be back monday nite so really not a full weekend but better than nothing--and roxie will have to go along and sleep in their garage in her little crate cuz they don't believe in indoor dogs-poor rox!!!! well- have yet to have any "good" breakfast so i probly should motivate in that direction...hugs to all and prayers if you need them!

Aloha and good wee hours of the morning OFF family!

My wee hours always are mid morning for a lot of you....and I don't think I'll EVER be first to post on What's New! It's pitch black outside.....not quite 5:00 a.m. and I'm dressed and ready to go to the hospital and test my babies. I have a furbaby sitting on my desk in front of me.......she's feeling neglected....poor kitty.

I'm only five days now from leaving for Calif.....and I'm scurrying mentally and physically to be ready for that adventure. Yesterday I did a little shopping at a local farmers' market and found some cute t-shirts for my brother (birthday May 16th), and for my grandbabies........all 2 and 9/10ths of them (little "in the oven" is SO CLOSE to coming out!.......May 12th hopefully). One of the t-shirts has a little boy snorkeling under water very close to a turtle, another has a bunch 'o turtles swimming (Brocky will love that since his favorite scene in "Finding Nemo" is the turtle scene), and one that says "Someone who loves me brought me this t--shirt from Hawaii!)

I also got several boxes of dark chocolate covered macadamia nuts for family and friends, and next week I'll get 100% Kona coffee for my son and my DIL's family. (It's $18.00 a lb. at Costco!!)

Even though my son and DIL told me I didn't need to rent a car...I could use theirs when I'm there......yesterday I reserved a car because it was so inexpensive (must be last minute thing) and I NEED to feel independent and to be able to zip off and see friends and just old haunts in Santa Cruz while I'm there. It was only $160.00 for two weeks for a little car like my Chevy Aveo!! Unbelievable!!

My son, DIL and two grandsons moved into their new house yesterday!! I wonder how that went. I didn't call because I knew it was chaos to the extreme. Imagine being almost 9 months pregnant and MOVING with two children under 4!! My son was your basic pack mule and I'm guessing exhausted. I will call them this evening and see how it went. It will feel strange to go to see them in a brand new house!!

Well, my dears......I'd better get off to the hospital and meet my newest babies! I hope they are all healthy and have parents who love them. I hope you all have a super weekend.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

MK, Just think. . . .a year ago what kind of car would you have needed to rent? Sure wish Anacortes was in your picture. We could meet up there! I had all kinds of plans to run around in my "spare" time with  my kiddos too. Didn't happen. Got to get together with Sharon A for a wonderful couple of hours, but other than that I was very well occupied. I'm sure  you will be too. Hugs, KK
