okay..here I sit at 3:45 am..unable to sleep...I went shopping for shoes  at the mall.  I "shoe shop" only when I cant avoid it any longer and I desperately need new spring shoes.

With swollen feet due to lymphodema, wide foot anyways, high arches and high insteps, shoe shopping is never any fun.

So I headed to the "Walking On A Cloud" shoe store that specializes in high quality, European-made, hard-to-fit shoes. 30 minutes later, I walked out of there after paying $256.00 for a pair of soft leather sandals with real cork insoles and a good arch support...damn that hurt!

After then searching the Mall for a birthday gift for a friend...Im attending a special all-day party on Sunday...my poor legs were just throbbing from walking so long on hard floors (not in my new sandals).  So now I cant sleep..throbbing legs.

HOWEVER, Im using my SUBLIMINAL CDs again for HEALTHY EATING....embedded in the music and the sound of waves washing up on a beach, the messages tell me that I have a distaste for fats and sugary foods….that I crave healthy foods….that I avoid binging and unhealthy snacks…and that I regulate the amounts of food I eat.

I play it in my car as I drive…I play it on my computer as I work…..the soft music is barely heard in the background and the messages are so quiet that we consciously do not hear them however my subconscious is hearing it regardless..

Ive looked in the fridge and saw my son's dessert and thought how tasty it looks ( I was addicted to sweets of all kinds) but somehow I just did NOT feel like EATING it..instead I grabbed an orange.  and that was NOT a conscious thought..strangest thing Ive ever come across but I sure as heck am NOT fighting this!

This CD is working!  It costs $20.00..that’s all, just $20.00 and these subliminals work. If you're interested, contact me..I can tell you how to get this $20.00 subliminal CD.

Im staying home all day Saturday..I'm tearing my computer room apart to make it into an office for InfoDIVA.  Maybe I will wear my new shoes......

Good Morning Nancy and Friends,

Here I am up at 1:42am. Thought: Hey, I'll check into to see What's New! Thought I might be first but there's always a sister up before I am. Or still up sometimes as I usually am exhausted by 8pm. Most days I'm up by 5am at the latest.

I got home from Hannah and Clara's Wednesday afternoon. (I'll post a couple of new pics) Of course I took many! It was a great trip. I spent Thursday and Friday with them. We took the girls to their dad's baseball game in little front packs. They slept through the whole game. However, after a near miss from a fly ball down the first base line I'm thinking they need little hard hats! Saturday I went up north of Seattle and spent the night with my older brother and his significant other. Puppies and Maggie in tow it was an experience but worked out great. They loaned me a portable puppy play yard just like one I had looked at but didn't want to pay $80.00 for. I came back to Erin's Monday and Tuesday. Sharon A came over and met all of my girls on Tuesday. We got to have a nice visit. She is such a wonderful person; wish we lived closer!

We now have the puppies in the garage during the day all set up with puppy pads, blankies, toys, water and food 4 times a day. Zoe moved on last night. She spent her first night with Emily her new owner, who is a wonderful 25 yr old young woman who puppy and house sits for us whenever we need her. I know Zoe has a great new home so wasn't too sad seeing her go. I sent her a snuggly little teddy for her bed and got one for Daisy and Midge also. Midge is so named because she's so tiny: Just about one pound. Daisy is probably about 2.5 already and well on her way to being at least Maggie's size (just under 5 lbs.) Don't know if I've mentioned but Erin is going to take Midge when I go over on May 22 for the Alaska cruise. She fell in love with her and she commented that it would be easier now than a year from now. Probably true, but we'll see. We told her if it doesn't work out that we'll take her back.

Mike painted the outside of the house while we were gone. Yesterday we did touchups and finished some inside stuff. Rehung just a few pictures, packed up all the rest that we took down and put them in storage. Must admit that the house is much "roomier" with the clutter all gone. This next week I'll deep clean and get the carpets cleaned. Also I'll plant a  few annuals in the front and in containers. A new scattering of mulch in the front flowers beds and a fresh mowing and it will be ready for pictures and listing on May 12th. What a lot of work! Sure hope it pays off in a good sale price. The market here in eastern Washington is still going strong. Our problem is our 50 yr old home is competing with new homes in the same price range. New neighborhoods that won't hold up well, but new never the less.

On the plus side: I am able to do all of this without being out of breath, grouchy, and in pain.  On the down side: I am doing everything first and not taking the time to exercise. Trying to eat "right" this week after several months of grazing mindlessly. Not great amounts but enough for the scale to inch upward.

Puppies are in the utility room but having a hissy fit. Daisy is a real character and the ring leader. I know I need to leave her there. Like a little human baby they figure out pretty fast what it takes to get what they want.  2am is way too early to start the day!

I pop in and read, especially the What's New even when I don't find time to post. Know that I think of you all alot. Especially enjoyed seeing posts from Jeani G and Gala this week. Sure wish a few others would stop by and update us: Fran Soonslim, Patty D, Windy Pat, Pat Bell, Sharon B, and Laurie I just to name a few.

You all have a great weekend. I think it got up to about 75 here yesterday. Finally! Oh, almost forgot. We now have a foundation and the framing will start on Monday. It's fun to go by every day and see the progress. I'm so glad that we have a builder taking care of all of this. We know nothing about any of it so trust that he does. He is young but has a reputation for being "hand shake" honest and trustworthy and a good builder. We're keeping a close watch and will contact him about anything we are unsure of. Won't be too long until I have to really start making some decisions: kitchen design, cabinets, countertops, appliances, plumbing, carpet, wood flooring, tile. . . My oh my, this from the gal who has to look at absolutely everything before making a decision. Could get just a bit overwhelming but it's fun too.

Gotta run. You all take care, Karen C

Hi there again, Karen the pictures of all the "kids" are just beautiful. The girls are so delicate pretty and sweet. Just gorgeous little sweeties. The pups are to cute too. I am up early but headed back to bed for a little more sleep. Our weather is better but still not as warm as yours. I hear it should be warmer today. I don't know. Going back to scrapbook about 10am. Take Care, Cheryl

Good morning Nancy and all, That's a hefty price for a pair of shoes. But if they make your feet feel good, great. I'll never feel guity for my Birkenstocks again. Phew - they seem cheap by comparison. I seldom get 'alone time' with Matthew. Melanie was deep in sleep so it was Matthew and Grandma for a change. At 15 months old, he is turning into quite a little man. His vocabulary is ever expanding. I was afraid he'd never get the chance to talk since his sister is a chatterbox.  We did colors together. I would point to objects, say the color, then he would repeat the color back to me. The bottom of my slippers were pink - he pointed to the slippers, then to my shirt (also pink) and said PINK. Granmda's bragging here Melanie woke up and had to tell me all about her day. She talks rapidly and I can't always understand her - exactly as her mother did at 2 years old. She started to get frustrated because I just couldn't catch the drift. Finally I understood that she was telling me about the lawn mowers, her version was mawnmower. I enunciated LLLLLawn Mower.  She replied, "Melanie says MMMMAWNMOWER". I love her spirit. Annette

Hi Nancy, Annette, and Karen, (so far you 3 are on here, early and awake!) I got home late, went to bed and now am up having some coffee and toast and talking to my OFF friends. Gonna go to Starbucks with Beth and Tom, then back to scrapbooking fot the day and night. Tom and Beth are going to a benefit for a man who needs a kidney. Tom's band is playing and Beth is going for moral support. I ate some red licorice and doritos last night, no dumping, no nothing. Rats. Mostly ate good stuff the rest of the time. My sis can't even have a bite of anything with sugar in it or she gets really really sick. Forgot my butt cushion and had to drive home to get it yesterday. My butt bones poke through and man! that hurts. Well, back to bed for me... Have a good day ladies! Cheryl

Good morning, I slept in big time.  Woke up once at 6:10 and thought I would lay there for a few minutes and then woke up at 9:00 again.   I am sitting here still in my jammies and it is now almost 10 , I need to get motivated.  Yesterday I had to get my van fixed the fuel pump quit working.   I am now debating whether I should have fixed it or tried to get a new vehicle.  I hate making car payments.  The van has 130,000 miles on it but my service manager where I work ( I work for a Chevy, Cadillac, GMC, BMW and Hyubdai dealership)  said it is really good condition he said we kept up the maintenance on it and it should last us for a couple more years.  I sure hope so.   I have been in a plateau for the last couple of weeks losing so I increased my calories and the last two days the scale has moved down.  Go figure.  I think reading the previous posts on her is helping to realize not to starve my body. I tried some chicken torilla soup from Schwanns  last night it was pricey but so good and lots of protein.  I am not a good cook so to find something that is easy and even good for me is a big plus.
