Ok, so last night........
I was walking the dog and carrying a water bottle. I got tired of carrying the bottle and thought I would try to put it in my front pocket. Guess What!!!!!! It went all the way in and I could still breathe and walk. Woo HOONever, ever been able to do that before. :) I guess that means WLS is working!!!!
Reggie-I do love my RNY. I am still on the packet food you mix with water, like my preop was. I will be on that until Monday. I am really starting to want some real food, but I am scared to start eating it again. Trying to figure proteins, etc. Argh!. My mind is just boggled by it. But as I am typing this I remember those famous and wonderful words, "One Day at a Time". I see the dietician on Monday and I am sure she will tell me just what to do next.
Your numbers are looking great also!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!
Great WOW moment Jill. Just wait, before long you can put the dog in your pocket too.
I found it a bit confusing when first starting on more solid foods, but eventually it becomes quite easy. I still keep a special notebook to write my questions for the dietician and surgeon. That's where I write my daily food and liquid intake and questions which pop into my head between visits. The dietician wants to know what and when I eat. I can open the book and remember. It has helped to write her responses and instructions too. Otherwise, I would forget.
