TGIF-What's New?

Ohh I wish I could have gone back to bed today, it is a cold stormy day. complete with hail. I good day to snuggle in bed with a good movie.. wishful thinking. Well tonight Is Liz's wedding shower and I am soo excited. I have scads of shopping to do after work. Th epastor is hosting this thing and she has done everything in  PURPLE !! Liz hates purple, it is so funny. I told to to just relax and enjoy it, she planned the wedding and we are doing everything at the shower that she doesn't want at her wedding.. Lots of flowers and candles. She said ok as long as the cake isn't purple..It is. two shades of purple. What a hoot. Two days ago I decided I wanted to make an Italian antipasto for the shower. So I have been cooking and making pesto . I need to get bagettes to make brushuta, tonight. I would love to get  a big  bowl of seafood salad, octopus, squid and a few more yummies. But it costs to much and I am afraid some of these Iowa farm women may faint. I made Li'z's garters yesterday , camo, but beautiful. I will post some pictures next week of the shower , th egarters and my fabulous Pink bike.. yes I got a helmet too.. pink of course. I was quite the site riding down the sidewalk next to one of the busiest streets in town at rush hour all shaky. By the time I headed back ( only went about 3 blocks) I was starting to figure out the gears and it was much easier.Well I had better get back to work.Have a great spring weekend. Blessings

Hi Margo and everyone: Cloudy, rainy day; good day to sleep late. So I did. I was up past 3:30 this morning; we didn't get out of here until 12:30 so I didn't get home until 1 a.m. Stayed up to watch a few shows; by the time I got home this morning (last night, however you want to put it), I started cramping up again, but felt better after sitting with the heating pad on my tummy. It's OK today. Anyway, slept late, that felt good, been lazy today.  Got a call from our work health management program; they asked me a bunch of questions, some related to my asthma diagnosis last year, then they started getting on me about my BMI being 30; I told the nurse that I used to have a BMI in the 60s, so 30 was good and I was probably never going to be "normal." I was kinda pissed at the attitude; what is "normal" anyway? It's a number and there are plenty of people who don't fit the "normal" profile who are healthy. My blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, etc., are all good numbers, and any other health conditions are all being managed. My main problems are pain and allergies, neither of which are life-threatening at this point (unless you consider how sometimes I want to throttle my ortho doc if he doesn't do something about my knee ...) Anyway, I got done with the nurse and then the ortho doc's nurse called with the results of the bone scan I had Monday on my right (replacement) knee: all normal. That was good, but didn't answer the question of why I'm still having pain in my knee. My doc wants me to see an associate of his in the next door office later this month; perhaps he can figure out why I'm in so much pain. I hope so. Actually since the pain clinic PA put me on neurotonin at night, at least I'm not waking up in pain.  Now I'm at work; unfortunately, it's going to be a late night because we have two reviews on the classicial music side. Well, at least I have nowhere to go this weekend.  Well, hope everybody has a good weekend. 

i got so busy in genealogyland today that i forgot to come back!  we had a wonderful thunder rolling storm today and rain in sheets and buckets! -not a great deal of wind tho--thank goodness- praying that none of our folks are hurt by the tornadoes going around out west.... yes; annette- i had a makeover! i love my new lipstick and my bright blue eyes! my dad's eyes are almost that blue! and dig the long eyelashes!!! a girl's just gotta have fun!!!!! well- we have done absolutely nothing useful here today..and i don't care! roxie and i took a nap on the couch and michael walked right by me at least 15 times! didn't even know i was there! i was actually down 2# this morning-whooooo hooooooooo ! ok-nothing else new here-hugs to all!!!

Hi There, I just got home from the beach around 9pm. I played soccar with Lily and watched the sunset. Now I got some excercise for the day/!!!!!!! Carla
