whats new??? thursday May 1st

Happy May Day, i cant believe im first on here. will be back later . when i have had some sleep. 

It's me, lurking again.  What's new for me is I am excited to be going to my first conference regarding WLS.  It is not an OH conference, but it is being put together by a group that met on OH.  www.rydobesity.com.   R is Ramon, Y is Yvonne, and D is Debra.  They are paying it forward.  It will be in Dallas this weekend.  I am ready to meet some of the great people I have met on the Texas Message Board.

it will probly be more enjoyable and enlightening because it is put on by those folks--OH loses the mark on theirs it seems-at least for post ops.... paying it forward is such a rewarding feeling --in lil bit sor big ones! have fun!

Margo, There is a new person putting together the events now. I have been able to put some input into them so they should be quite different.

ok- but the schedules all look so boring when i read them--maybe i'm just spoiled ...i know i am!!!!

They don't do the schedule until right before time, I have addressed that with them also. People need to know ahead of time if they want to go or not.

exactly! terrib is going to the one in pittsburgh in july-she has never been to one and she will enjoy it-i hope--but i looked ta it and it does absolutely nothing for me- no way am i gonna pay taht money and then not enjoy it--so they need to put the schedules back out there ahead of time--makes more sense!!!!!

  Jan - Thank you for getting us started on this first day of May. It feels more like the first of January - brrr cold. I didn't need to look at the thermometer to know it was cold last night. We have a dual control electric blanket on our bed. Tom never turns his side on. I woke up in the night, unable to move my legs. My warm side was a blanket of eight black furbrats. Annie has taken control of my lap but Becky is trying her best to inch in for a spot too. Annie won't give up my lap or share either.  Melanie accompanied me to the Vet's office. While we waited, a person came in with their ferret. They told me it was tame and offered to let Melanie touch it. Melanie hesitated, patted with one finger and proclaimed it to be a MOUSE. When we returned home, she ran to her Mom and told her all about the MOUSE.  Annie can't get comfortable on my lap. She wants a two handed belly rub so I can't type very well. Before she erases everything, I'll say good bye for now.
