Stop by and say hi
I read with interest the comments some people have been making about they stopped posting, they just read, etc. And no one missed me. And so on.
First, I do not "miss" anyone who stops posting. I probably notice they are not posting, but figure they don't have anything to say.
I am an avid poster on the Texas Message Board. I work overnights to explain why I did what I did. I used to post often on a discussion board, Dallasdigest.com. They have a thread there that my best friend started, it is simply titled "Goodnight Ric". Everyone on the board at night stops by and says goodnight. I started on the TMB a thread called "NIGH****CHMAN. On this thread I gather prayer requests. But I also encourage people to stop in and say goodnight. It has morphed into a place for people to drop in and have little public conversations, without having to start their own thread.
I do not stay on this board that often, however, someone could start a thread of "Just stop by and say hi". People can drop in, just type simply "I am here lurking, wanted to say hi" and be gone.
Just a suggestion.
