Some of you may remember me; others will not know me at all.  I had gastric bypass on Sept 18, 2006 . . . I'm struggling with gaining/losing . . . and still haven't made my goal.  I have thought about different diets to try and then today realized I need to get back on track.  HELP!!!
Joyful hugs,
Connie

Connie, It sure is good to see you. Know that you are not alone. I think as we getting farther out, at least for me, some old habits that we hoped were forever buried resurface kind of like the freeze and thaw in the winter and spring! I too am having a bit of a struggle. Or if I'm honest I guess I'm not struggling enough. . . therefore have gained about 10 lbs this past 6 months.  I haven't been exercising. I have been tending to fun family things, like twin grand daughters, 3 tiny puppies, selling and building a new home. . . But that being said I want to remain healthy to enjoy all of those things. I need to get back on the straight and narrow also. Thank you for the reminder! Karen C

Girl, Have I missed you.  Thought you had pulled up stakes and moved to Arkansas.   I'm with you on the need to back away from thoes -putting on pounds  CARBS- Soooooo, Lets back away from anything that is wrapped in plastic packaging, like bread , cookies, crackers, and if we can't completly back away, how about starting from scratch again. Eat thoes 5-6 small meals a day, drink tons of water, wal****il you think you might just be back into good enough shape to walk and carry on a conversation at the same time. Remember all thoes rules, and how well they did work. I'm also one of thoes that diets never did work for.  The only way I can keep the pounds at a simi normal range is to get out and move my buns, move them til that shinny film of SWEAT is apon my brow.  Swing your arms , step right on out to your own beat.  And always remember.......You are the One.  The one who went though all that Pre-WLS stuff . The One that could get out and move when ever, where ever and how ever you so did choose.  You are the One, This change in your life is for You. I f our Connie D. slipped back just a bit, well so what.  You saw the slip and your ready and willing to fix this small side trip on your  Journey . Get out and let your Joy shine dear girl, Hugs, Peg

thank you, Darlene!  It sounds great.  My friend, also a patient, is going to start with me on Monday.  This works out good because I have to prep for a colonoscopy on Tuesday. Thank you thank you!
Joyful hugs,
Connie

Hello Connie! I too have been wondering where you have been. Seems like you are not alone with the struggling issues. Plenty of others are having the same problem. Glad you decided to stop in and join us once again. Hugs......the other......connie d
