Good morning. Time to start another week. If I can make through tomorrow, I think I will survive the rest of this week. I have 2 more classes to teach. these 14 hours days- sheesh What was I thinking when I said yes, I would take over the class.  I had a busy weekend being grandma. I picked N and LP up Friday evening and took them home yesterday evening. N basically hung out next door with my neighbors daughter and I had LP. We had a great weekend together rocking and talking to each other. I took LP with me Saturday to meet up with some others from Maryland for an afternoon. We had anice time. He loved all his new aunts and uncle. The restaurant we went to had fish tacos on the menu. I finally got to try one and it was good.  Sunday I was lazy. I spent the time doing laundry, rocking and feeding LP, and snoozing. It was a rainy day here so it was a perfect day to do puttering around the house things. LP didn't give me many opportunities to get involved in anything. He was loving his spoiling by his grandma so I gave it to him.  I hope everyone has a lovely Monday!!!

Good Morning Aime and everyone!!  Was up extra early this morning 4am since my son works at a golf course and they have a tournament today so he had to be in by 5am.   The doggies and I both heard him getting around so everyone wanted to go out to potty.   Then it was time to get Greg off to work.    I need to work late a few nights this week trying to get a project done.   We have the monthly support group tonight so that should be fun as last month they decided we were going to exercise the first 20 minutes so they decided to try line dancing.    Maybe Debbie G will decide to come to the mtg?   Hope everyone has a wonderful monday.

Today, my students turn in their term papers so for the next three days, I'll be grading papers, taking tylenol, and grading papers.  But the end is near. My grands are coming Thursday and staying until Saturday.  Matthew is so big now and spends his entire time outside where he makes these elaborate roads for his cars.  Baby Girl and I will play peek a boo and patty cake.  While I love for them to be here, I tell you I am worn out when they leave. This time, I am taking them on my walks.  I'll see if I hold out  pushing the double stroller.  HEHE

Good morning Aime - that sounds like a very special week-end for you and JP. I spent yesterday fretting over internal noises. It was difficult to eat and I could only manage a few bites at one time. Drinking was not an issue, thank goodness. Each morsel of food seemed to grumble for hours. With my past history of problems I worked myself into a frenzy thinking for certain there were bowel woes again. This constant worrying is terrible and turns into a vicious cycle. I need a swift kick in the pants to 'knock it off'!! It is time to get this day started. I hope all is quiet and I can eat without trouble. Annette

Morning my friends, Aime, so glad you had some good quality grandma time with LP! Annette, I was very, very grumbly  on Saturday, I was even worried that people would hear it!  I took some Gas-X and it went away.  I'm still having eating issues, have to remember the basics and chew, chew, chew.  Spent 30 minutes in a parking lot after lunch on Saturday after not chewing my mac and cheese well enough.  I never had this trouble the first time around, so it's a little bit rougher on me now. Not much going on for me today.  Have to go to Linen's and things or Bed, Bath and Beyond to get a new wooden cutting board. The one we have had since our wedding 25 years ago broke in two the other day.....just came apart in the middle!!  I just stood there, looking at this perfectly halved cutting board.  Oh well, I guess we got good use from it for all these years. Guess that's going to be my day.  I might even get a nap! Hugs to all,

Susan

Susan, I did a big "DUH" about the Gas-X. There is a whole box sitting right in front of me.  Now it is minus one - thank you. They helped get rid of the grumbles.

Well, I can't take all the credit. I was complaining about the rumblings and Gary suggested I try the Gas-X.  Gotta give credit where it's due! Glad it helped. After all you've been through it's no wonder you get concerned.  Hugs

Hi Aime and Everyone, Weekend was too short for some reason.  Chores and friends on Saturday.  Sunday, I tore the patio apart and cleaned everything.  Then, we went and babysat our little grandson.  His parents got the chance to go out to lunch by themselves.  They all spent Saturday at Disneyland with the two-year old.  They had a great time.  I laughed when they said he cried when they got off the tram from the parking lot and wanted to go again.  I knew he was in for a great time after hearing that!   Busy at work catching up from taking so much time off with hubby and all the doctor's appts.  That will make the week go very fast.  Tomorrow is hubby's follow-up with the Pulmonary doctor.  Anxious to see if he has any assistance in his bag of tricks. Have a great Monday! Kathi

Good Morning Aime and Friends,

Life has been very busy since arriving at Hannah and Clara's last Wednesday evening. Each day I think I'll find time to get ahold of Sharon A and try to connect with her for a few hours. I'll call today and see if she's available tomorrow. Sure would like to see her; it's been way too long.

I went up to the Seattle area about 2 hours from here on Saturday.  It was a beautiful day on Saturday. Seattle when the sun shines is incredible. Bright blue skies with snow capped mountains in all directions! The Olympics to the west and the Cascades to the east. There has been a lot of snow even in the past few weeks in the mountains so they are just gorgeous.  Puget Sound sparkling to the west of the city and Lake Washington right in the middle. The day was so beautiful that people were out in full force down on the waterfront at Pike Place Market, on the lake in their boats, shorts and sandals galore. When the sun shines here everyone has the sense to get out and take advantage of it!

My oldest brother lives in Marysville about an hour north of Seattle. I spent the night with them. They have a beautiful house with a huge utility room. We just took up the rugs and put the puppy crate in there. They had a large area to run around in.

Erin thinks she wants to keep the littlest puppy after all. She thinks it will be easier now since she is home until at least July. Also, by the time girls are walking the puppy will be hopefully able to get out of their way! I told her if it doesn't work out we will take her. Uncle Nathan said he'd gladly puppy sit whenever she needs it.  They have been so much fun but I need to get carpets cleaned this next week so it's time for them to go to new homes.

Our new houses's foundation is started. The footings were in when I left and Mike says I'll be amazed at the changes.  We had planned a storage room under the house as the crawl space would be pretty high on the west side. Well, it turned out that the whole space under the back side of the house is high enough for a basement! We don't really need the space but decided it makes sense to pave and rough in the whole space.  We won't fini**** for several years if at all, but it makes sense for resale somewhere down the road. I figure it will be a great place for the grandbabies to skate and ride trikes!

Well, it's still dark, babies are fed and asleep. Erin's out on the couch;we let Josh sleep this feeding. The puppies are sound asleep; Maggie and I are heading back to bed for a couple of hours.

Sure miss my hot tub! My neck and back are so stiff from all of this wonderful cuddling. It's hard to believe that May is just around the corner.  Our spring has been very slow in arriving. My lilacs will be in bloom when I get home on Wednesday. I love lilacs. They are too strong in the house for me but I love the fragrance outside.  Take care, Karen C
