I Need You Guys
I wrote that title to get you to stop and read further ........ I do need you my family ....my support system and Friends.....
I haven't posted much in a long time. I haven't felt I had anything of much interest or value to say or add to. It's part of that feeling of poor self worth/ low esteem thing we who have fought the fat fight for most of our lives understand those thoughts and feelings so very well . Sometimes it's easiest to say things, seek support and even love and kindness through the distance/ safety of the "net"... yet we are real people with real warts ..... we are human with all our wonderous qualities and faults too. I am only human.... but I am also the only me I can be....so with that said here's what prompted me to write now - I've been missing you all and found it hard to "rejoin" in things/threads etc... so let's use a getting to know you all over again thingy = some of those who've been around this block for awhile will remember Jeannie G and her outrageous and humorous 5 little questions postings - they were fun and so very insightful too.
So let's try these on for size :
1. If you could change one physical feature on your body - what would you choose ?
2. If you could change one thing about your personality/character - what would that be ?
3. If you could learn one new skill - what would it be ?
4. If you could meet some alive celebrity or famous person and spend an afternoon over some iced tea and seated someplace quiet to visit with, who would you choose and why ?
5. If you can remember...lol - what was your first real boyfriends' first name ?

1. I'd get my upper and lower abdomen flat. I had a full tummy tuck and panniculectomy last July and I still have a big ole belly... 2. I'd be confident - in myself and my abilities. 3.I'd learn to read music. 4.Laura Bush.... to learn what her life as first lady is like . 5. ummmmmm George ? ....lol

1. Yeah , Are you sure you want to know about the( Part )I'd change. Can I please add a few parts, please.......Tummy tuck, upper thigh lift. Girl parts redone, yup, they are in sad shape. By the way what do you call that kind of redo. I'm seriously thinking about that one. On to the next parts department. The turkey waddle is in need of some correction, The girls have found the navel and are becoming close friends. I have a family of bats living in each under arm, and they need to find a new home.
If I tell this tale of plastic surgery need to people, they say, but dear, you look mavalous with your clothes on.......Dang, I like niccked once in a while. O' I forgot the Face. My window on the world is looking a tad bit tired these days. The smile lines are developing lines. The lips could use a Lil' plumping up. But hey , other then thoes very few , minor , nothing to speak of thinks, I can't think of anything that this body needs a repair shop for, heeheeee.
2. Stop being so dang blasted shy!!!!!!!
3.Be my own boss, Own a small worthwhile company that could be of help to hard working people.
4. I would Love to have an after noon with God. Ask him all thoes questions that have been on my mind for Years.
5. Dicky, I loved him mostest in the first grade.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
AND ALL OUR HERO'S
AND ALL OUR HERO'S
1. If you could change one physical feature on your body - what would you choose ? Get rid of the hideous dog ears left by my tummy tuck.
2. If you could change one thing about your personality/character - what would that be ? To not be so available to help family and friends.
3. If you could learn one new skill - what would it be ? To say "no"
4. If you could meet some alive celebrity or famous person and spend an afternoon over some iced tea and seated someplace quiet to visit with, who would you choose and why ? Robin Williams, he is a very successful person.
5. If you can remember...lol - what was your first real boyfriends' first name ? Warren
Yes I remember Jeannie...we use to be friends back in the day.
Women are angels.

Joyce, it's wonderful t see you post again. I'm like you though, I don't post very often either. And, when I was waiting to hear about my surgery, I was so depressed I stayed away completely. And....when I did come back here are all of these stories that I came in right in the middle. LOL, I'm still trying to figure out some of these. I remember Jeanne G. too, wonder how's she doing?
Ok, that said, let's get to the questions.
1. HAIR. I would love to have thick, luxurious hair, not too curly, not too straight.
2. I wished I could always say the right thing at the right time to people. I tend to sit back and not say anything.
3. I've always wanted to play the piano.
4. Paula Dean. Even though she does go a little overboard sometimes, I admire the way she raised her 2 boys and made a life for herself and her family.
5. That's easy, Louis, I've been married to him for the last 38 years.
Hugs, Peggy
you said:
" I haven't posted much in a long time. I haven't felt I had anything of much interst or value to say or add to."
well....i haven't posted anything in a few days simply cuz i feel like my posts are unread and unimportant......only maybe 3 ppl knew i hadn't even posted anything...shows how much one is missed.....and sometimes that hurts worse than arguing with someone.....
**i felt that i had to break the silence last nite about the secret pal thing--and to send my thoughts to rusty...other than that i am posting thru pm or emails...**
i am deep in a low self worth thing and need to crawl out...but it ain't happening here....a body shuffling not cooperating...a whole life sucks thing....
joyce..i love ya and i wanna support ya but i really do NOT like to play these things so i won't....well- except for #4-amelia erhart....the awesome ability to fly..and the issues of a "pioneering in a man's world" in her time...what fears did she have as they disappeared????where did she die...was she utterly alone?would she do it again if she knew what laid ahead? ************ oops! you said alive...sorry!!!!!!!!
some of us who are the "core" of this group-the oldtimers...sometimes we feel put out to pasture...and it's not a good feeling.....it's easy to wallow there when other things are not going as desired.....sometimes ppl seem to know it all and seem to have all of the answers without really listening to the questions...sometimes ppl put us in situations that we really should keep our noses out of-should know better than to enter!....sometimes we really just simply have nothing good/positive to say......i don't have the strength right now to dig myself outta where i am at so i'm just gonna play my own game here alone for awhile.....listen to my own music......
that's my story and i'm sticking to it.....
and i think today i may cut my hair (carla-that's for you!)
joyce...you did NOT specify that i couldn't write a book in response!
Margo,
I understand where you are coming from... I haven't posted for quite a while either...my life stays the same... get up go to work, come home, go to bed, same thing.... the only thing that changes is the weather, and lately it seems winter here in North Dakota is staying till August.
I do read the posts every day and try to stay ahead of the news...
I read the general OH ,and it seems all the people do on there is argue over the sillest things, thank you for this "over 50" forum cause at least we are all friends.
In July it will be 2 years out for me, I have reached my goal, never quite sure what that was.?.. 125?, so now I stay around 127... I feel good, no problems what so ever.. great to buy clothes 4/6 .....life is great.... so hang in there Margo... I look forward to your posts about your life.... you are the life blood of this forum.... Peggysue
